Yeah these guys euthanize more animals than anyone. I believe they have one of the largest meat coolers/freezers in the world at one of their facilities. Got to store all those animals they "rescue" somewhere right? Rolling Eyes

Reminds me of my Ethics teacher asking me if there was Baby and a Puppy in the middle of the road and I could only save one which would I choose

I asked if it was my Baby when she said no I said I would save the puppy then

Pretty funny seeing her trying to figure out if i was serious or not

Am I the only one considering the circumstances here? If there's a train or bus speeding toward them, fuck that. I'm not stepping in front of a speeding vehicle for a baby or a dog, neither of them is more important than my life (to me).

id try and save both. id feel really bad if either died. much rather risk my life than live than see a baby and puppy get run over. if i had to choose id go for the baby though, id feel bad about the puppy but the suffering of the puppy and mother would be much less than the suffering of the baby and its mother, father, siblings, grandparents etc etc.

its a shitty situation but utilitarianism would win.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

I mean the puppy I could see. They like to explore, it could have gotten lost.

But the baby? They don't move too fast. And they're generally pretty attached to their mother. Somebody probably wanted that baby dead. And maybe they had a good reason to kill it, it could be some fucked up serial killer baby. I'm not gonna take the risk of saving it if it's only going to turn around and gouge my eyes out with a pacifier after I do.

So yeah I'd save the puppy.

See GREY, you're discovering my most hated group of people I found years ago. I'd love to line all of them up and burn them to death with a flamethrower. They're an incredibly stupid group of people I have no idea why the world tolerates and allows to continue to exist. The more research you do, the more pissed off you will get. You can try and save the dog and baby. I'm helping out if there's a very very high probability that I'll survive. Frankly, the suffering of the baby's family is a lot less important to me than the suffering of my own family should I die in the attempt.

Honestly to me depends on the statistic. If I were alone and wouldn't contribute anything, I would give my life for the baby. If I were married, I wouldn't. Cause I am needed by someone. If I had a kid, Hell no. Cause I would rather a baby die than mine to grow up fatherless.
