[BF4] PDW's do I just suck with them or...

Do they consistently seem to lose against every other weapon in the game?

I've primarily been using the P90, but there have been many cases where I can't even beat an AK12 in hip fire accuracy at near point blank range despite having the laser pointer on the damn gun.

Maybe it's the net code, but I've been having a terrible time trying to use the engineer class with PDW's. Carbines are infinitely better and really seem the only way to go in regards to playing 8-10 of the maps.

All you engineer players, am I doing something wring here? Can you please give me some tips, I really want to get good with them, but just can't seem to click with them. Carbines just seem to be the master class weapon when it comes to the engineers from my experience.

just from watching videos i can tell you it's the netcode. dice is working on a patch.

Yeah I also played around with the P90...it's kinda sucky. The MX4 is better in just about every way except mag capacity.

Tried playing less aggressively and used ambush tactics instead, seemed to help. I've gotten used to the hyper aggressive playstyle with AR's, it was a bit of a change to have to take things slowly again if I wanted to live more than 3 seconds with the PDW's

Weird. I use them when I run engineer because they are so fun to use. You can mop up a room of dudes with the pp2000 from the hip with bullets to spare.

They aren't so hot at range, but up close they own.

You're not having issues with the horrible netcode though. Fucking EA I swear.

No, not really. Once in a while something odd happens, but so far it seems better than most games and about the same as BF3.

EDIT: No reason to hate EA. If you want to hate somebody hate DICE. They deserve it.

I've had pretty good success with P90. I held Flag A in Siege of Shanghai as CHINESE side, holding off US guys coming from base. Stuck myself in building corridor to force them to come into my range.

Anyway, PDW is outclassed by other weapon classes in almost all situation except ultra close cqc. Even then, good player vs good player, you will not see the advantage of PDW shine through to the outcome.

I've been wondering around Korean BF veteran community, and they have made conclusion that PDW is useless. The general thoughts on PDW is pretty much on par with mine.

Yeah carbines make them pretty useless.

yeah no point really when the early unlockable ACW is better

I prefer the PP2000 to the ACW. By quite a bit.

ACW will win 100% of the time every time in CQC, but yes the PP2000 is a laser. Loved it in the beta.

Yeah ACR is beast if it's the same as it was in the beta.
