Bioshock Infinite it is

The Green Man gaming deal seems pretty good, Infinite, Bioshock 1,Xcom, then I guess I'll pick Mafia 2 since it's the only game I haven't played out of them, would of picked spec ops but I have it for xbox.


Not sure if they're all steam keys,I'm guessing.

and the $15 back in credit is nice. Don't know how the cash back would work if all I have is a debit card.

I'm really hoping Infinite is good. Its about the only game I have on my radar atm

Well IGN gave it a 9.5, so it's probably at least decent.

GMG isn't working with my debit card though... I'm gonna have to call my bank and yell at them.

I mean their scores can be taken with a pound of salt most the time but I mean for a 9.5 it's probably not going to be bad...

with the 15 dollar credit I'm probably going to get the season pass for it,it's all single player DLC,no MP this time tacked on like how Bioshock 2 was. Going to be playing this on the hardest mode lol

Aw yeah, finally managed to purchase it through GMG in the 5 minute window that they've been up since I got home.

Looks like they already have the keys for it so you can pre-load.

It's really not shady at all if you look at the details.

An EA dev was checking out how the promos looked on their website. Put in some BS, saw it worked, and then turned the div invisible but left the BS in their as a placeholder. Believe it or not devs like to test shit to make sure it works.

Seriously as much as I like pointing out how corrupt the game review industry is, IGN isn't trying to say that EA pays them off lol.

I was planning on getting this originally, but what happened to all the cool character designs and artwork they originally showed.

All the most recent screens and especially the character art now looks bland and uninteresting compared to the old stuff. When did they change it?

Bummer, I loved the old look it had, but I'm really not a fan of it now.
Anyone else feel the same way? I loved the previous ones, but I'm going to have to pass on this one.

i saw a stream of it pretty much as soon as it released in the UK. looks really solid and some really amazing visuals.

PLayed the first half hour last night

Not alot but the atmosphere is incredible

Yeah I've liked what I've played so far.

Game is optimized like shit though. Lighting brings me down to 30fps at times. And the mouse control is terrible, I have to play with a controller.

I notice it being a little choppy for a second when new stuff loads I'm guessing....playing on totally maxed out settings

You have an AMD card though don't you? It probably only has problems on Nvidia cards.

Some stuff to do to make it run better:
1.Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BioShock Infinite\Engine\Config and open up BaseEngine.ini
2.Change PoolSize to however many megabytes of vram your graphics card has(1 gigabyte = 1024 megabytes). It's at 140 by default...
3. Change the MinSmoothedFramerate at MaxSmoothedFramerate. I read on gamefaqs it should be about 59 for min and 61 for max if you have a 60Hz monitor but I'm not sure of this.

And for Nvidia card users:
Turn off ambient occlusion and vsync. Turn them on in the Nvidia control panel if you want them.
Also there's a new driver out.

yeah I have the hd7950,it should run no problem. I changed the little text logs like you said,thx. It probably was a problem not giving it enough video memory,my card has alot, 3gb

Its a huge difference right now. Not even close.

How are you adjusting to mouse and keyboard?

Granted this is kind of a tough m/kb game to iron sights being in an awkward space. As well as menu being O and waypoint being N.

the Magnum in far cry 3 is op as hell with mouse aiming. i killed a jeep with 3-4 people in it with one bullet fired from the the hip, on 2 different occasions XD

Just a heads up for anyone who didn't know. You can rebind all your shit on PC. I immediately re-bound iron sights to right click and put vigor on the scroll wheel and melee on one of my side buttons. It's helped immensely.

yeah I'm probably going to remap the keys,it seems awkward for iron sights,and especially trying to melee and move out of the way,I think V is melee, and way-point is N and J for audio logs

Can I just say though, that this game is fucking great. Elizabeth might be one of my favorite companion characters ever already.
