Yesterday, we reported on a rumor that XCOM will be re-announced sometime soon. A video popped up on YouTube that adds gasoline to the fire that is XCOM.
This video plays off the Russian meteor crash as a hoax, but before you jump on this with pitchforks and machetes, know that Shack News did some digging around. It found out that the source code page reveals the keyword “whathappenedin62.” This would not be notable if it was not for the fact that it is a domain name 2K recently registered.
In addition, the account name that uploaded the video is “Veritas MCMLXII,” which, in Latin, means “Truth 1962.” I don’t know about you, but this is some awesome marketing for a game that disappeared from the Internet. You can see the video for yourself down below.
