Unless the specs blow me away, I will not be buying this.

You won't be buying a next gen console or you won't be buying the next Xbox?
Because I would find it strange if you have already decided not to buy the Xbox when nothing official has even been announced about it.
I mean, I think the ps3 was pretty bad in nearly every way and probably my least favorite console ever, but I'm still willing to give the PS4 a chance if it turns out to be good.
I also find it silly that Tapia would decide not to get one simply because of Live. A service which has proven itself better than PSN in many, many ways and which doesn't even cost as much per month as my coffee in the morning.
...Then again I hate PC with an unreasonable passion so who am I to talk.
*shrugs and smacks Sheep on the ass.

If i were to get a PC it'd be stronger and i'd have the abillity to play real MMOs which i've kinda been acheing for, plus any game that's multi i'd have a great PC for.

PCs are too complicated, and too easy to fuck up if you don't know what your doing, and I don't. So I guess thats ignorance, but its also kinda a pretentious statement to make in a place that was founded on console gaming....

Everything you said I agree with besides those two things. There really is no open source software that concerns games besides OBS.

Its more of a technical/ maintenance issue for me. If something goes wring with my PC, I can't fix it. And small technical issues are far more common on PCs then on consoles. Not that Consoles don't have hardware issues from time to time, but software and setting issues would probably have me pulling my hair out.
Also, the controller thing is a legit argument, simply because if I do use a controller I will be at a marked disadvantage compared to people who are practiced at M/KB. So to play competitive multiplayer I would have to learn M/KB and I'm too old of a dog to learn that trick.
Just saying its not just poor people and idiots who have consoles
Sym wrote:Fair enough
I would counter that by asking you why are you scared to learn about operating a PC? Trust me. Its not rocket science, and most of it is just common sense. I think you would be surprised how easy it is to maintain and run a PC these days.
On the controller....thats totally subjective. The option is there to play with a controller though.

I suppose I could try to learn, I'm sure it wouldn't be too terribly difficult. But I guess it comes down to the hassle. As I said, I love that everyday I go up to my console I turn it on and it works just as well as the day I bought it.
With a PC slowdown and such is inevitable, and can become pretty noticeable after a year or two. I find that frustrating, and part of the viscous cycle of upgrading to keep up performance. Which goes right back to one thing you said, the price issue.

if there's ever a problem,I just google it and 99.9% of the time somebody else had the problem on some random pc forum and in the topic somebody solved it
Sym wrote:PC slowdown is hardly inevitable.
And what viscous cycle? Im using a 5 year old GPU in my system right now that plays BF3 far above console spec. This is a card I bought 5 years ago.....
I honestly think your over stating these things.
With proper care, no PC should have slowdown. And you dont HAVE to upgrade yours system nearly as often as you think.
Just saying.
