I wasn't expecting much from this offering since piggy is gone and all but I sat down and listened to it today and fuck was I ever surprised. This is a seriously awesome album. They're back to a thrashier vibe with this one... Reminds me of killing technology and dimension hatross era Voivod. If you're a fan check it out, I can't stop listening to it now!

Yeah. If I remember right I really liked the first 2 albums of theirs I had, but the next one I didn't like so much...

I don't really. Voivod had a different sound to them though (at least to me). Very precise sounding.

I suppose. It sounded to me like they were playing math instead of music... if that makes any sense.

It's not really my style of music, but they grew on me. What genre would you say they are anyway?

Yeah but with heavy progressive tendencies. I usually lump them into the progressive metal genre.

Yeah the new guitarist sounds really solid. Good solos. They're a bit more technical than what Piggy used to do but they still fit well.
