Assassins Creed for PC? Direct port or no?

I'm thinking of picking up the series, since I'm yearning for a new gaming experience as of late.

Anyone here played it on PC yet, I'm not sure if I should get it for computer or just look for the games used for the consoles.

KotOR sadly is pretty atrocious on PC as is Force Unleased without a game pad, I just don't want to waste my money on another crappy port from the consoles that I'll end up raging at due to poor controls.

Thats news to me.....played it without a single problem.

AC3 just sucks, and is poorly optimized. The other ones are ok.

The controls felt horribly wonky to me for PC, it was very clear that when the developers or whatever company that ported it to PC, didn't optimize it well for the computer, everything felt super stiff and click around with the mouse just didn't feel very smooth to me.

To be fair, it is a pretty old game, and it runs better with K/B & M by leaps and bounds when compared to the laughable and inexcusable excuse of an "effort" to bring Force unleashed to the PC. Which is sad, because in the end, Force Unleashed is actually a moderately good game on console.
