Placed three orders, only got one so far. Called up support and they said that if I do not receive an email in four hours that I should call them back.

The order they're giving them out seems to be really strange. Some people get it right away.

Even if you don't get one it's probably gonna be easy to get it for free or cheap after this fiasco isn't over. I'm really surprised the page is still up with it.

Hopefully the keys are not taken back by best buy. I know steamgameswap just banned the keys for twelve hours because of this.

I doubt they'll revoke them all, it would be a pain in the ass for them and they'd really have nothing to gain from it.

For some reason I chose the gift option so I got an email saying a digital gift is on my way. Still no code, still no cancellation.

what i find hilarious is that people are raging about the keys being cancelled.

A) its obviously a mistake. you are actively shafting the developers of M:LL since they dont get paid until the keys are sold, and if they are sold for 1 cent... the devs lose a whole lot of money.

B) its 1 cent. you're not exactly losing out on much.

You're not screwing over the devs, the keys are paid for already. You don't sell a retailer a product and get paid for it later.

Still nothing to complain about but it's not like you're pirating. More like shoplifting  

Granted I'm guessing they worked out a deal with Nvidia on a bunch of these keys, and probably make more money if regular ones are sold.

In observing this little debacle, the thing that gets me is that it actually said "FREE METRO LAST LIGHT" on one of the descriptions via Best Buy. I'll have to go look at Sym's order invoice again to verify.

So, it seems intentional IMO.

 Well I did not know that.

I would still think that in the end Best Buy would be taking the hit from this. They'd either have to have the keys revoked or pay up for their error.

I still doubt they revoke all the registered keys

Just wondering, on a legal standpoint (Not sure about US law) But once your card has been charged the 1 cent. They cannot revoke the code, least under UK law I would think they couldnt them taking the payment forms a contract of sale
