People don't get the opportunity...pretty much everything we toss goes in the compactor. Produce gets put outside...but, a lot of it is um...yuck.

When I first started talking about building a PC (when I was unemployed) I was putting together a nice, but semi budgeted build. When I actually got around to building it (currently employed) I just went balls deep. Put a good $3,000 into this bastard >.> Would still do it all over again though.

It wasn't intentional. I bought 16 gigs, but I couldn't fit them in with my cooler. My refund time was way over so I bought a lower profile version of the same sticks and ended up being able to replace the old sticks with the newer ones as well. So yeah, now I have an unnecessary amount of memory.

Running RAMdisks bro. You can never have enough RAM. I use Dimmdrive with my 16 gigs for all <=10GB games and its nice.

Although Windows 7 Home only lets you use 16GB which is lame as hell.

I think the only part in my machine that does not have that premium thingy going on is RAM.

For size wise, I have 16gb, but the speed is 1600, which I think is pretty much standard nowadays for gamers (or it's lacking?).

Was tempted to pick up Corsair Dominators that are 2400+, when I was getting 780ti, but unlike GPU, which I just went ahead and bought it without fighting my brain saying that I should not, I could not get myself to buy the RAM.

Wonder how much it will effect if I actually get it though.

I was reading somebody say that BF4 needed fast ram and that 1600 wasn't good enough, but sounded like BS to me. I thought the only benefit to fast ram was on AMD APU where they use the ram for the built in graphics


I've seen 2400mhz ram go for about 70-80 for 8gb. I wish I had of gotten 16gb a year ago when 8gb was only $30 =/
