The USAS-12 is better than the SAIGA, but it's still cool to have one of those two shotguns in your top two, let alone both.

South Korean Army developed auto shotty for US military.

We can't even afford to use it normally in our army. LoL

Let see, automatic weapons in general are illegal in the US. So I'm going to assume that an automatic weapon that fires 128 BB's every shot would also qualify as illegal. Just a guess though lol

If you bought a semi-automatic type version it probably would be legal. Though all shotguns are pretty much...shotguns. I'd personally go for a pump; much cheaper, more reliable. A Benelli Nova, a Remington 870, a Mossberg 500, or a Mossberg 835 are all good choices. If you really, really want a semi-auto, prepare to pay $600+ for one, and that's a cheap one (like a Saiga 12), or $1000 or so for anything decent from Winchester or Remington. Not to mention that some states only allow you to hunt with "x" of rounds in your magazine, so you have to either:

A) Be lucky enough to plug your shotgun tube magazine.
B.) If it takes magazines, you're going to have to pay money to buy a magazine with a lower capacity (MSRP price from Ishmazh for a Saiga, 2 round magazine is $50, but I'm sure you could get one for $25-40 if you looked around a bit)

Wikipedia:

During the same timeframe, Gilbert Equipment Co. tried to bring semi-automatic version of USAS-12 to the U.S. market, but the BATF promptly classified this weapon as "having no sporting purpose", so it became a "destructive device" under the U.S. National Firearms Act of 1934. This greatly restricted its civilian use. During the late 1990s, RAMO Defence Co. began to assemble USAS-12 shotguns from Korean and U.S.-made parts for sale on domestic market, but sales of this weapon were limited to government agencies only. Today, this gun is still being manufactured by S&T Daewoo in Korea for Military and Law Enforcement sales only.

Well, like I said, there's better shotguns that he can buy anyways. But I guess it doesn't hurt to check for a civilian version of a military weapon. If he likes the Saiga, he can easily find one of those though.

How 'bout one of those turrets from Metalstorm that fire over 1,000,000 rounds per minute?

Having a gun that has multiple, temperature regulated barrels that fires bullets (at the same time). Its like a rifle that decided it wanted to fire a wall of 15 actual bullets at once.

That is your OP shotgun. Its not buckshot anymore...

Here's a Nova, in case you ever thought about one of these DRGN. I was lucky enough to find it in camo, though they're usually black.
