They're not good people and deserve to die. I think Obsidian was on crack when they made this game sometimes. Hmm...I have good Karma, Brotherhood attack me for no reason...yep, they're bad people. Dumbasses, Obsidian.

I kinda went in their bunker and told the lone NCR scout that they were there. Still, they are still smartass little faggots. People that put explosive collars on other people are generally not looked highly upon. I have to kill them anyways, for a mission, but it's stupid to lose karma over.

Considering the fact that they deserve it 100%, I should actually GAIN karma for killing them. They're retarded scumbags, not to mention they're an enemy of a force going for the greater good kinda thing. It would be like saying that if you killed Imperial Storm Troopers in a Star Wars game, you would lose karma. They're all just pretty much clones. The logic I'm just trying to understand, is why gain karma for killing Powder Gangers, but not for the Brotherhood?

They're an enemy of the Republic, which, in the Fallout story, is trying to protect people in the Wasteland. Because they are an enemy of the Republic, they are enemy of other people, thus making them evil. Not to mention this: just look at the armour they wear.

But the Republic isn't really good either, the Brotherhood was attacked by them first, because the Republic wanted the Helios tower, which the Brotherhood was trying to disable, Because it was a giant death ray. The NCR may be good to its citizens, but if you aren't one, they don't give two shits about you. I kinda feel the Brotherhood is the same, just more insular and not interested in expanding its borders at the expense of the tribals.

Well, still. Just look at their armour? Do think anybody good would wear a contraption like that?

I don't think so, I've got shotgun shells loaded with their own Chuck-E-Cheese tokens to kill them with.
