Just post a game that you think should be game of the year and the top 5 games will be picked to battle it out in December.

Mine is Bad Company 2 because without it I would have never found this amazing place.

Fallout: New Vegas. Hours of fun, never really pisses you off, only singleplayer, but is great.

BC2's campaign is too piss poor to even think about getting a GoTY vote from me.

Black Ops is good, but there are still things that need to be patched; however, it does bring a lot of good things to the CoD series, and has both a good SP and MP.

However, that being said, by and far FO:NV. A game worthy of GoTY should be good at everything it does, and better than the competition. Other than glitches, that will hopefully be fixed, FO:NV is easily the best game this year. I do not regret buying it one bit.

I really enjoyed Mass Effect 2. Really well made, I don't think I've ever played a game as immersive as it.

To be fair, criticizing BC2 for having a bad singleplayer would be akin to me saying Fallout NV's multiplayer was bad. Battlefield has always been 100% multiplayer focused, they just tack on some singleplayer crap on the console versions because people would rage if they bought a $60 game and discovered they couldnt play it without Xbox live.

Bad Company 2 is obviously going to win everything.

Except single player, but it's a BF game so who cares.

Well, then I would like to add that I personally thought that BC2's MP was "meh" at best (not being cynical). Until they fix all the bugs, that's all it ever will be, but once they do, the game will be awesome.

Fair enough, i just don't like to see people shun it for bad singleplayer when anybody who pays attention to the series probably didn't even expect it to be as good (bad) as it was.

I haven't played Mass Effect 2, but I liked Mass Effect 1 a lot, even if it was pretty short. As for black ops, I don't feel like they've changed the core gameplay enough to deserve GotY. All I'm seeing is the usual CoD installment with some fixed bugs/exploits and a new currency system.

BC2 is still a great game, I just wish that they would fix all the bugs and exploits in it. I would probably go back and play it every now and then if they did. I don't really hate the game, I just wish they would fix it.

The only problem i have with BC2 is the rubber knife. I wish they would've just kept it like BC1 where the knife was an extra weapon and you could swing it fast. A played BC1 the other day and I just ran by and knifed three guys while walking without any rubber knifing. It was great.

Yeah, that's my biggest problem with it too, is the hit detection. Especially when it's something stupid, like I shoot the guy in the head with a shotgun slug from 5 feet away, blood flies everywhere, I get a headshot sound, and then the guy just walks up and knifes me, after I shoot him again and get the same result. I end up saying "Obviously outplayed" and "Fucking bullshit" more than anything.

Lol, BC2 makes ME rage sometimes, and I never rage. I don't even talk on the MIC when i'm in parties >_>. Honestly, there was a match defining moment when i shot this medic with my 40mm shotgun pointblank, saw the hit marker and blood go everywhere, then he kills me, runs up the stairs to the crate, his whole squad spawns on him, and we lose.

Lol, that kinda thing happens in a lot of games too though. I remember one moment that would've made me insta-rage quit nowadays, but I thought it was absolutely hilarious back then:

Was playing Ground War, War on World at War (3 wars...anyways). It was a full 9v9 game, and at the very beginning, somebody threw a random grenade across the map on Upheaval, and killed 7 of 9 of us with a single grenade and instantly got Dogs. I laughed for a good minute straight after that; I searched and searched YouTube, but nobody had recorded it.

Symbolics GOTY

BC2 by a mile
Fallout NV
Red Dead Redemption
Mass Effect 2
Darksiders
And I really enjoyed Bayonetta

I will not be able to give Black ops a proper vote for a few months. Game makes me rage like none other, but still a blast when my connection works

Reach sucks compared to black ops and vanquish was I believe 4 hours long.

I researched that claim, and it's 4 hours of gametime when you don't die. Every life you play where you die doesn't count towards that number, and cutscenes don't count either. That said, it's still probably pretty short (maybe 8-12 hours), but being a game developed by Bayonetta's studio, it's probably a game focused on replaying sections on higher difficulties, for scores, etc. I bet its overall lifespan is closer to 40 or 50 hours.

Yes, FO:NV is amazing enough to warrant bugs. Also, with all the content stuffed into that game, I'm suprised the game isn't more buggy. I'm really impressed by FO:NV and the amount of bugs it has, and how well detailed everything is, considering how big of a map there is.

Even though I encountered so much glitch / bug / crashes, I love the game too much. If this happens to some other game, then it would be snapped in half, shredded, and fed to the first animal that I see out in the street (most likely a human being. LoL).

I mean putting some shredded disc in the ISP HQ building would not do much, other than a janitor coming by to sweep it away. LoL

I collected half of them for my Experiment / All-rounded / Ultra VATS character. Probably would go back and collect the rest, after I finish my CQC character, or when I create my more serious VATS character.

I'm glad several of you liked Red Dead Redemption.

Personally it is one of my least favorite games in the last 2 generations. Possibly ever. One of the few games I actually regret buying.

Broke my heart because, Red Dead Revolver was one of my top 5 favorites last gen. Then again, most of revolver was actually done by Capcom.
