In reply to Symbolic's topic.

Here are some tracks from my band. They consist of drums, guitars (both unmixed except for some minor cleaning up of the snare) and some shabby vocals very roughly mixed (which will all be re-recorded due to mistakes and the fact that I recorded the vocals before getting a proper mic for the sole purpose of demonstrating some ideas to the rest of the band).

(the vocals are very badly mixed on this one)

Dude I really like this shit. I wish I had the equipment to record guitar tracks with that quality and crispness. Im working on a bunch of new shit right now. Im much more of a lead player which may be obvious from what I posted. Shredding has always been my joy!

And a joy shredding has always been, I'm sure.

I'll have to listen to these soon; I'd download them now, but I uploaded a video today already, so my sister will gripe at me about the connection. :/ Tomorrow I'll be sure to check them out though.

They're actually streaming.

The tracks were recorded in a studio. Marshall amp and head, JCM 2000, with two mics to the amp in a isolated room

I thought they all had a really nice beat to them. I think that Subconsiously Confined was my favourite, also. That or, the second one was pretty close. The only advice I have, is to lighten up the vocals just a little bit. Other than, I liked it, for the genre (I do like Metal and such, but it does take getting adjusted to). Smile

Cool. Care to elaborate on exactly what lightening up the vocals means?
