Ok so I am getting a new TV for Christmas, a 32 inch LCD. I currently play my xbox on my flat screen pc monitor, and my wii on the 25 inch SD tv. But here know lies the problem. I will know be able to enjoy my xbox on the tv, along with the wii and dvd player. Only problem is its going to be a pain in the ass to have to switch cords everytime I want to do something different. My question - Is there some piece of equipment out there that will serve as a hub and allow me to connect everything (xbox, wii, dvd player, cable) together and somehow toggle the channel I want? I hope that makes sense. I see this being an annoying problem, especially while my shoulder heals. I figure there must be something of this nature on the market. Thanks in advance!

I think I might have heard of something like that a really long while back. Can't remember the name of it if it does exist though. I'll try to find it out but I suggest you go to a gamestop or something and ask them, they'd probably know about it.

Edit: Found some: http://www.amazon.com/X-Selector-Video-Game-System-Selector/dp/B000U3HCDK

There's loads of different ones if you just look at the similar products too.

Something like this?

This particular item may not meet your exact specs, but there are some solutions out there for your need.

Also, what are the TV specs? Do you know how many input slots the tv will have?

Exactly. A new 32" Lcd should have enough inputs that you wouldn't need a switch box.

I would imagine at the minimum it should have at least 1 Hdmi, 1 component, 2 Composite.

The 360 you need to hook up Component or Hdmi. Dvd player needs component. Cable needs component only if you're getting HD programming. Wii only needs composite.

Tell us more about it.

I've got a 32 LCD, and I have more than enough hookups for everything. You'd probably be ok with just the TV. Mine has 2 HDTV connections and who knows how many regular connections.

Mine has 3 hdmi slots. If your getting or have a surround sound system you can use that as an hdmi hub granted its a newer one.

My lcd flat has 3 comp inputs, hdmi, straight cable line, and 2 five color inputs. I'm sure your TV doesn't need a hub at all, just put your cable in one, your dvd, and your wii and xbox in another two and use your remote to change them. I know it doesn't sound helpful, but all new tvs have ALOT inputs for appliances now

Exactly. Now if your surround sound only has 1 toslink/optic in then you may need a switcher for that...

Most stereo systems now come with a R/Y/W inputs for game systems or dvd players, you just input your cords into your stereo, get a yellow cord to connect from your stereo to your TV, and you got good stereo sound (depending on your stereo). I'm not sure what surround sound systems have for that, but I noticed a lot of electronic companies are making easier and easier to link up your consoles to anything.
