Rush vs Conquest

When I played BC2 a lot everyone was all over Rush. Well, I stopped for a long time and recently returned. Now everyone is all over Conquest.

Just curious, why the switch? I love both modes. Is it the UAV C4?

at first it was the crazy c4 usage.

conquest is alot more of a adrenaline pumper.
a lot more points to be had, and you dont have to file down choke points most times.

Isn't there a new Rush map? And did Panama Canal ever get a Rush map?

I like Conquest more than Rush because I find it easier to cope with. Rush tends to be WAY too big with WAY too much going on. Conquest is much more fun IMO.

I think I like stealing bases more than destroying them. Lots of Rush still going on though.

It's because I switched to conquest and well you know how it is... everyone loves the DL! HAHA


Panama Canal never did get a rush map =o(

3 new rush maps and no panama rush.

I'll always love Rush more but Conquest is ok.

Rush keeps the fighting more concentrated while Conquest keeps it more spread out imo.

with conquest, i feel its more squad based. almost always we all stick together in conquest, not so much in rush.

I always feel like Rush requires a team effort most of the time. Everyone is focusing in one general direction. Conquest is where I **** around and throw C4 and mines everywhere.

Welll Awesomesauce we stick together up untill the point some of us end up on the other side. Then the shit hits the fan and people go nuts! HAHA I was bymyself Sunday for a bit on Panama Canal and I got to hear what Kult normaly hears. SHit theres DL! HAHAHAHA

What new Rush maps are out?

I like Conquest because I have more of an impact on the outcome of the game, whereas with Rush, I have to depend upon my squad/team more. I've never been good with teamwork in FPS.

I find Conquest a lot easier to win when I'm playing with randoms than Rush.

I like rush more because I know exactly where to go in it and the enemies are always easy to find.

Conquest can have campers all over the place that are a lot harder to find than rush campers.

This is why I started playing Conquest. For awhile a lot of people left BC2 and a lot of times I would be on by myself. THen when folks would get online I would drag them into my conquest games.

Of course when BO came out I left for a few weeks myself.

As D indicates rush is a preferred mode to me which reminds me of invasion tpe of conquest mode existed back in BF2/2142.

It concentrates actions to few locations and is pushing a wall from both sides and see which side pushes stronger.

For some reason I find myself saying Harvest Day in the same way as this;

I get both modes. Played them plenty. But I didn't know why everyone went from Rush to conquest.

Basically, I'd like to play a bit of Rush sometime. Who's coming with me?

HEavy Metal is kinda Meh to me! I'll go a entire game on that map and I'll be 5 and 2... Its a little to big for only 3 flags. I have had fun games on it but if you don;t have a vehicle of some sort your screwed!

I'm always down for Rush.

Did they ever fix the w/l issue for conquest games? I've been avoiding it for that reason mostly since the only stat I truly care about is w/l ratio.

I'm down since they fixed the c4 bashing. It just will depend on who is online at the time. HAHA I really do think I was part of the factor of the switch because EVERYONE did play rush for the most part. I think Metal played mostly COnquest but at the time he was still a loner for the most part.

The problems with conquest in the console version is the total player count.

Conquest maps are designed with 32 players in mind, and somehow they made Rush with 24 players in mind.

The cluster flippin in rush maps are annoying from what I hear from my past associates whom play on PC, but they say conquest is fine.

Now, its just that in console its kind of opposite that conquest seems stretched too far for the population.

HAHA It depends on who is on for me. I pretty much have everyones tags now so I just play. THe problem for me is there are too many guys that don;t have my tags and want them and come after me so I have to defend myself.

I have my mentor's tag, and thats all I need.

DL I have one of your tags from wayyyyy back in the day and I don't think you have mines.

I know. Yours and Storm I think are the only 2 I am missing GRRRRRRRR

Well......Rush on D-FENS sucks ass.

We Stomp them into a bloody puddle with small bits of matter floating on top. THey Respond by quiting or all turning to Snipers and never leaving their island more then 1 at a time for the next 40 minutes.

I actually like Rush Defense. I'm a trap setter (not to be confused with a TFer) so I like to screw with those who are focused on the objective.
