You can only post topics, and you can't see what is inside each topic. The boards themselves have become topics.

I never got that speech, but my teacher calling my Mom in 1st grade to tell her about a picture I had drawn, when asked to show some ocean life, when I drew a picture of a whale with a baby developing in it, completely seperated from the rest of the while (had to draw anatomy of something), lol. I grew up on a farm, and I had a computer program on the computer that taught anything and everything about the ocean. I knew what the birds/bees were since I knew what birds/bees were. xD

I love DQ. They don't have enough of them around here Sad Have to make a special trip if we want any. Closest one is still off the beaten path even if we're in the area.

Makes sense. I got kicked out of school once for drawing "bosoms" even though it was actually a muscle bound super hero guy. Mad

Pretty sure my math teacher had no real life experience with "bosoms".

My teacher actually congratulated me on the drawing, and I got put up into the "gifted" (not special ed, but the actual gifted class, lol) after I drew it. Not only that, but because I was the only child who knew what the difference between a carousel and merry-go-round was when I signed up for school for the reading test, so I already had lots of bonus points. xD

Yeah, we don't have many DQ's in Spokane; I think the only thing I've had from there was a Blizzard.

That's ironic, lol. What were you doing in Spokane at the time; must've been business or something for your Dad? The Eastside is probably the most boring place in the US, if you're into doing anything that doesn't involve hunting/fishing/camping, lol. There's not really any tourist decorations or anything.

The definition of carousel is merry-go-round because it became that way over time due to ignorance, and the fact that merry go rounds are pretty rare these days. The word for it has kind of stuck, even though it's not the same thing. Kinda how people call all small chickens "Bantams/Banties", when only certain breeds are even allowed to be "bantams" and there are weight requirements and such. Or how pure bred dogs are called, "mutts", because they are annoying/useless. That's only the way I can explain it, I guess.

I could see why you wouldn't have one of those in the desert, because of how hot it would get.

The eastside can't be that bad Tom. I've been over there occasionally and I enjoyed it. We have a few DQ's around Seattle, but I never really go there.

Slightly off topic (who cares), Metal, do you ever eat at Dick's Burgers?

You mean Fox? xD Tbqh, it's pretty damn boring. We have Cat Tales, and Riverfront Park, but other than that, there's nothing else here. I'm not sure if Dick's is open anymore, actually. Sad

True Story: I went to Dick's Hamburgers in a limousine once. xD

I never saw a merry-go-round here in Canada. Consequentially I've always felt as though I led a very deprived childhood.

I've always felt like my childhood was kind of deprived because I never watched the Lion King or other Disney movies, but now I look back and realize while everyone else was watching that, I watched Lord of the Rings. I'm more than happy with that decision by my parents.

Friend of mine had a birthday party (they had money, lol, girl's sweet 16). Another friend of mine who also showed dogs told me to go, I didn't want to for a while, but I did anyways, to be nice. Went to the mall with her and friends that we all knew, then got in a limo, and went to Dicks hamburgers, because it was cheap. xD The people at the counter looked VERY confused, lol.

Weren't missing much, except for some of the worse nausea you've ever experienced. xD

I always felt deprived of a lot of shit for being Canadian. We're very hard-done by.

Also when I was younger and my family really wanted a dog we ended up getting a Shar-Pei. Fortunately she was so low-maintenance and squishy that I actually liked her more when I got older because she wasn't needy and shit.

oh and she was funny

Precisely, but I have heard many people call dogs that are pure-bred "mutts", as more of an adjective of emotion (like frustration).
