There are 3 times as many stars as was previously thought.

Interesting info that has come out the last few days. Just saw this in the news feed from our own SeC portal.

They've discovered there are 300 sextillion stars! That's about 3 times more stars than previously thought.

And the discovery of a microbe that can live on arsenic which has re-written the rules.

I read about that arsenic-chomping creature. Apparently what it consumes, it integrates into its DNA. Bizarre.

That's awesome news about the stars, though.

The combination of "life has been re-defined" and "3 times as many stars that could potentially have planets with life" are pretty crazy discoveries themselves.

The time to get to the planet that might possibly have life though would take more than a few lifetimes, and then it might not even be habitable by us.

btw apparently NASA found a eath sized planet in a very close by solar system with a sun about the size of ours. it's located in the "habitable zone" which means it's not to cold and not to hot so they believe it's possible for life to exist atleast water anyway!
