Man i really hate spanish, its such an annoying language, they speak backwards damnit.

But i just have to type the sentences now and find some pictures amd then glue them on a poster board, so it shouldnt be too bad

i learned French in high school, i did not like it, and did not retain it. i can only remember a few phrases.

however, my German is much better, though i am a lot better at reading it than i am pronouncing it.

Ive been learning French since kindergarten - i went to an immersion school

Im kind of sick of it by now to be honest. French grammar is such a bitch.

I think I have a good vocabulary, but remembering all of the grammar and tenses etc. is just a nightmare.

Im guessing that Spanish has a lot of weird grammar as well, its pretty similar to french.

its just odd since " i ate lots of food" is "yo comi mucho comida"

I <3 language. I took 5 years of Spanish from 8th grade to senior year, and I've retained a lot of it. I can't speak with native speakers, though. They talk too fast for me to understand. I cam read and write it pretty well, though.

I'm the same way; I can read/write/understand much better in languages that I'm not very familiar with, but I can't really speak in any language other than English, even if I understand what I've just read/heard. Sad

I like how interesting language is though.

Google translate doesn't do it right.

And I can make out a sentence if I hear/see it usually. Except when the Spanish teachers talk to each other. It's just too fast. I make out 2-3 words at best.

Yeah Google translate just translates every word in to the other language, and it usually doesnt make any sense.

This girl in my french class used google translate after our teacher told us not to. He called her out on it, and when she denied it, he asked why the paper was in Spanish... Pretty funny moment. Smile The girl's an idiot

Wow what a dumbass. I only used it a few times to check my spelling or to see if I used the right word. But not for whole sentence.

Haha, seriously. She still tried to deny using it somehow, even after it was in Spanish...

My favorite translator is wordreference.com.

I have a fairly good one on my iPod, but most translaters I used for Spanish don't conjugate the words right. Cause Spain Spanish is a little different than Mexico Spanish.

pro-tip: don't suggest you are trying to keep the peace to people you are insulting.

He understands that; what I think he means, is insulting somebody, then telling them to "keep the peace" is a little counter-productive, lol.

My shoes like to eat cockroach shit. xD I don't know, I just had to mix up a bunch of random words I had in my head for a traditional "Wut da heawh?!" phrase. Damn, for some strange reason, that makes me want to get online and play "Oh Susanna!" for someone, lol.

Languages are my thing dude. I've got French mostly down by living there for 2 years, but I could definitely fix my grammar up a bit. I'm learning Spanish now and it's fun to speak. I like both of them because you can completely exaggerate the accents for fun and people seem to understand you better.

I was ~12-13 at the time Tom, and I didn't speak much of the language past "Can I have *insert food here* please" so you be the judge.
