Relationship Help..

Hey SeC,

Im in quite a bit of a predicament.. see.. I havent been in the best shape lately.. see I havent been to school in about a month now.. and my ex broke up with me in September.. and its really just been a big downfall ever since then.. well untill a while ago.. see I met this girl.. and shes means everything to me.. thing is.. she moved to Newfoundland.

We both want to be with each other.. We know neither one will leave the other. I live in Ontario, she lives in Newfoundland. Im getting a plane ticket to go see her in July, and i'll be staying at a hotel for 3 weeks. After that I pretty much wont want to leave..

I really dont know what to do guys, this girl means everything to me.. And I cant lose her.. im not going to lose another one.

All I know is that a plane ticket is 500 bucks, and a hotel is rouphly 50 a night..

What if I were to find a job.. What if I could get an education there, then after we were done everything, move back to Ontario and start something even better..

My mind has been falling apart thinking of this lately.. and I need some advice..

Second, you're outta luck unless you're gonna confess to this girl and move in with her. Then you can finish college in newfoundland and apply for citizenship or something or convince her to come home with you or something.

I wish I could help here but I got nothing.

Thing is. I can get a job, I can get a place to stay..

Quite sometime now.. she makes me smile, makes me feel like nothing is wrong..

if you really think you know her that well then i'd go with it.. But you gotta really think about it, what if you dont know her as well as you think you do and you go to this place and it doesn't work out? I am not trying to be negative but you just gotta think about all the possible outcomes.

Here's my barebones advice:

It's way to early to freak out. You have between now and July to see if you or her feelings change.

If the connection is still there, then go visit like you said. If that connection is still strong for both of you face-to-face then maybe moving there is the answer for both of you.

Basically, relax... There's time.

changing your life around for someone when youre 20 years old and have no job, no place to live, and no college education would be the worst mistake you ever make


i did it when i was a few years older than you, i wish someone wouldve slapped me upside my head - i knew the girl for 6 years, the whole thing was a massive train wreck when it was over.

I think metal said it best. You don't want to take a giant leap into the unknown with no backup plan. If your really serious about this you and her need to get together and see if the two of you can find living arrangments. because if your not ready not move in with this girl, or vice versa, then this would be a big mistake.

If you want to move there, do it for you, not for her. You never know what is going to happen, you could be perfectly happy with her one day and then bam, you break up. How long have you known her?

I'm not trying to be pessimistic at all honestly, my now-husband moved to Columbus to be with me and we are perfectly happy. But we were also together for three years before that and long distance for about half of that.

All in all, my general advice is: never move very far to be with someone you aren't married to, haha. Especially to a new country, that's a lot.

Why did she move? Is there a chance she will come back?

You know at first it pissed me off, but after a couple days I started to realize she's not that hot really. Not sure what I was thinking. Then she met some dude online in California and moved out there to suck his.... big toe. It's all good.
