Donkey Kong Country Returns

For those who care- This game is amazing! I just got it for my bday and I love the game. Totally brings backs so many feelings of nostalgia. The graphics for a wii game are awesome too. Plus its challenging!

I probably won't get it, due to money restraints, but it actually looked pretty good nostalgia wise. I remember trying to play Donkey Kong Country for the SNES and rage quitting, lol.

A friend of mine also just got this. He was telling me all about it. But I can't stand the Wii.

Yea the Donkey Kong games have always been some of the harder Nintendo games. I never did beat them as a kid, but I sure did have fun. The mine cart rides are as glorious as ever, as are the barrels.

I like the wii for many reasons. Although i play the 360 probably twice as much. I just love the Nintendo franchises still, and really love light gun shooters, which the wii has some great ones. Plus my girl likes it , and we can actually play games together on the wii. Mainly why I got one.

I entered a SNES championship tournament when the first DKC came out. I won a year's worth of free rentals from blockbuster. =)

Hell yea! Old School plat-formers are still some of the most skill based games on the market.

It actually works pretty well for some games. I was apprehensive to getting the Metroid Prime Trilogy on the Wii, and I ran around like I had some sort of severe mental handicap for a while, but after a while, I got used to it, and it actually works out pretty good.

There's a system at my local video game shop that plays NES and SNES games. It's pretty cheap too. I plan on getting one next week. Best way to experience nostalgia is to play the originals.

Resident Evil 4 on wii is the best version due to pointer control.

I started playing Donkey Kong 64 on my laptop earlier... that's my nostalgia game. Used to play it all the time till my brother sold it. It's damn hard to play 3d platforming games with no analog stick...

My god I love this game. Its now my favorite wii game, passing smg2. Im on world five and the mine cart levels are epic!

Update- this might be the hardest game of all time. Just brutal, bit still a blast.

Bringing this topic back from the dead!

Me and thelittleone recently got thsi game from her brother. Lots of fun. Kinda difficult, because you die constantly but you get lots of nanners and lives to keep you playing. I think the thing I enjoy most about the game is the music and sound! lots of original DK music updated for htis version makes the atmosphere fun to be in. we are on the 4th world right now and working on beating the boss soon.

No....i made it to world 7 and my rage got the best of mre lol.

I can see that happening here too. I am not know for my patience, and I'm halfway through and I already rage just a bit at this game. It's very trial and error based it would seem.

Very! And you get fucking taunted every time you die. Rage!lol

Ill probably go back ti it eventually. Bur after world 4 it gets brutal.

Nuts and Bolts was okay for what it was, but it was terrible as part of the B&K Franchise.

I haven't got a Wii, myself, though I've been mighty tempted. DKCR was one of my top picks.

I'm never really got the "Donkey Kong games were someof the harder Nintendo games" vibe, personally. Did have plenty of challenge though, and they sure were pretty, especially compared to the greater majority of SNES games.
