arguing its awesomeness on gfaqs and im either blatantly ignored or (in antes case)
called a kill whore.... wtf? So if you kill too much as a recon your whoring it?

its not even that they are arguing that badrecons are bad...they are saying recon in general is a useless class.

Recon is just as important as any other class. It just needs to be in smaller doses of the "useual suspect" wookies. Other than Khult, a rally good recon is the only thing that throws me off my game, and don't get me started on assault wookies!

Assault wookies are OP mode.

Anyone who thinks Recon is useless is ill-informed.

I love my Recon brothas. Lord Haggod has taught us to be patient with ye Recon brethen for we know not what they do.

you have to see it from the perspective of 'most kit Recons are horrible/worthless players', that's the point that guy is trying to make. I think.


Since 99% of Recons sit up on whatever Mt. Everest camp the map has and go solely for kills, not-contributing to the flow of the game in any way shape or form. There's a reason why some of them have an average life time of 4-5 minutes yet only 20-25 SPM.

then there's all kit Recons, which are the guys running around toting shotguns and exist as a complete opposite to normal recons. I'm not a fan of those guys either since I hate auto shotguns but the motion sensors are much obliged.

Unless you sit there watching a Recon the whole match you can't argue their usefulness imo.

if I joined a game and saw 5/6 Recons being worthless sitting 3 miles away when there's a charge to be armed or a flag to be capped then I'm pretty sure I'd hate the class too.

and it doesn't help that the intended reconnaissance use of the class is wholly disregarded by most of the community. motion sensors don't help the team when they're on the other side of the map.

I notice all-kit Recons more when they're on the enemy team, since that appears to be the only time they actually exist. the rest of the time they're just a legend echoed throughout the hills which coincidentally house half my team.

Valid points lead, being one of those mystical assault wookies I can understand why you hate auto shotties.

Lol, I love it when these stupid sods mix up the two. I'm casually asking into my mic "hey *insert players name here* I need some ammo, I'm running dry" I get this retort "No way, you fucking wookie" I come back with "If you thinking I'm sniping with a fucking Thompson, you are a moron" He then turns around and drops me my ammo. I'll give him credit for at least recognizing the ere of his ways.

But yes, when i do run recon, I usually run with either shotguns (depending on the map) or the Thompson if not that, a x4 optic SVU or VSS.

That gun rattles in real life, as if the gun was made out of misfitting parts.

Drum magazines were purposefully not given to troops in fear that they will waste valuable ammunition.

Strange, man...

Thompsons were expensive to mass produce, and in combat it was not exactly expected for soldiers to be in such calm state.

High RoF + Fear-factor = Waste of Ammo

You have to reload, and in that time, you can't shoot.

Its not like in the games where there is a specific amount of time where a person reloads each and every time, and you can reload cancel. LoL

Let's not forget that real guns jam as well, man.

i had a nice game on laguna presa attack today

8x SVU+ mag ammo

i got inside the base, hid by a tree and motion sensored, acted as a spawn point, and killed some dudes.

it was fun

Guys, I just wanted to apologize for being such a worthless kill-whore and dragging down our team when I play with you. From now on I shall strive to not kill so much, it will be my new years resolution.

Lol, if you really think about it, as long as that said recon is getting kills on a regular basis, (ie he isnt missing his shots) he can be an invaluable Player. In most cases what do people usually do after being pegged once or twice by a sniper? They wither focus their attention on eliminating said sniper by hunting them, or going recon themselves in order to countersnipe. Thus generating, most of the time, a useless wookie on the other team lol. Combine this with a recon player that also spots and calls out stuff and you have one of the best on ur team. Sadly 90% of the recon population are not.
