WOOHOO! I just got invited to a helicopter coyote/hog hunt on a big Texas ranch for FREE! It's really expensive and the state has to condone it so I am VERY lucky to get this privelege because it is a rare thing indeed.
I may pee myself with excitement!

There are better videos than that one.

The coyotes eat fawns, calfs, and colts and the hogs eat everything AND destroy crops and equipment so shooting them is fun. If I'm in the chopper the Texas rhinos can't get me either.

there are a bunch of birds in africa that attack crops SO badly in such huge numbers, they actually have to strap explosives to the trees and blow them up.

BLOW THEM UP. nothing else works.

if the problem is bad, killing the pests or predators is the only option sadly. i just hope you kill them cleanly thats all.

You can kill hogs any way you like but I'm sure the FAA might have something to say about lobbing explosives from helicopters...sa shame too. heehee

I like KutKu's "blowing them up" idea though.

Hunting hogs is more fun because when you're on the ground they hunt you back. You can even hear them clicking their teeth together warning you that they are about to getcha.

Was watching this thing on the military channel where marksmen would be firing from a helicopter during some competition and apparently it is very difficult to hit anything. Just from the vibrations from the helicopter makes it hard to aim. But good luck..definitely a once in a lifetime deal...hell just flying in a helicopter is pretty rare.

You using your own gun? or are they providing that?

I saw that show! They get you real close so it shouldn't be too much of a factor.
I'll have to use my 30-30 I guess but I figure I better take the scope off and go with irons. If I had my AR-15 I'd be better off but I'm too poor right now for that.
You're right too on the heli ride. That's enough to get excited about.

And what kind of gun was that that the were using in the video you posted? Was it fixed to the helicopter?

Nah they were using semi auto sniper rifles. One countries guys were using a bolt action. But most stuck to stuff like http://www.mk12.net/ and the m110. They either laid down in the blackhawk with the bipod or had a sling across the door and rested the rifle on that.

Then again they were shooting out to a few hundred yards so its a bit different than hunting from a helicopter.

Are you going to Shoot Women and children Hogs? because you dont have to lead them as much

Also it would be impossible for me to shoot form a helicopter considering my Accuracy is average at best lol

and Finally i remember those birds they were blowing them up with Claymores and such that were left over after a civil war
