Now I remember when the M16A2 seemed a wee bit OP a long while ago, but now it feels almost as bad as the F2000 as far as damage (This before the F2000 got some buffs) Granted it can get a lot of rounds on target, it just feels like it takes forever now to kill someone as opposed to someone use the AN-94 or say an AUG.

Perhaps it's because I just haven't used it in so long that I'm not used to it anymore, but it sure feels weak as hell now, at least to me.

One of the Few Guns I put Magnum ammo on.

Seems to work better without a Scope too.

I feel ya. But with the damage buff they added a LONG time ago, the burst fire rifles really were the most hurt by it. I remember slaughtering teams with that thing and having most guys go down in like ~2-3 bursts.

Um its an automatic sniper rifle so yeah.

Its still a one-burst to the head at any range with magnum ammo.

Which is impossible at anything longer than mid-range, and even that's a stretch. The bullet pattern makes a vertical "dot dot dot." At long ranges, I find myself having to aim at the legs to get all three rounds to hit.

I remember when the M16 was better than the Abakan

haha what

It has the same recoil pattern as the XM8-C, which is the closest we get to 'absolutely nothing' in game.

The Abakan is actually less-accurate than the M16A2 >_>

Not sure about that, I sucked total ass with the AN-94, and rocked with the M16A2, now it's pretty much the opposite. But then again, some guns click better with some players, perhaps I switched without knowing lol.

No, you're right, it has hardly any recoil, but it has spread, and the bullets spread in an almost perfectly vertical pattern. Fire it off into the sky and you can see it for yourself. The Abakan does the same exact thing, the first bullet is laser accurate while the second flies off somewhere almost directly above the first shot.

I think the first bullet out of any gun is laser accurate.

only while you're standing still. everything has at least a little bit of spread while you're moving.

why is that zilla? because it's a cold bore shot? lol

I stopped using mag ammo on my m16 that i have nearly 3,500 kills with. I use the mmn ar spec now and i actually kill faster at ranges past 100 meters. the spread is redunkulous when you try to burn through a whole mag on this thing with mag ammo equipped.

It's reasonably better with the mmn ar spec. yet it will get beat 8/10 up close range!

As GM stated it's best with iron sights as that's all i use on any of my classes! So when you counter snipe a wookie with an m16 and NO mag ammo or NO acog sight they rage!! I've gotten a few messages of "HOW THE FUCK HACKER!!" to my response "YAY"
