I love monsters!

But whyyyyy are there so many monsters movies that make you wait 10 years to see the monster, and then only give you brief glimpses of it so you can never get a good look of the thing? I hate that! HATES IT!

I'm watching your freaking monster movie because I want to ogle your damn monster!

You so rock!

Cloverfield...grrrrr.

Sometimes I'll watch those horrible SyFy-made movies just to see how they did the monster and then find something else to watch after I've seen it.

Cloverfield was awful. What monster movies are you talking about? Older movies kept the monster hidden usually to build the suspense.

Mmm.. I would consider Ginger Snaps a monster movie I guess, you got quite a bit of werewolf in it. If you know any good ones (I don't care what kind of monsters) let me know! Monster movie would be any horror - maybe not horror - that has a monster of any sort, or more than one monster. To me anyway. And vampires don't count as monsters.

I actually liked Cloverfield. It was hilarious. It had a decent amount of monster, not a lot, but a decent amount. I just liked the camera guy, he cracked me up sooo bad.

"What is that?!"
"Something terrible!"
"What was that?!"
"Also something terrible."

Best part of the whole damn movie.

Oh Gawd. It freaked me out. Of course I was in the young teens.. maybe tweens? And watched it alone, not a good idea. lol

I just like seeing monsters! But yeah, any movies you want to recommend.

I watched The Crazies last night. It was alright, but it kind of felt like the movie that would never end.

The Crazies sucked in my opinion. It started ok, then trailed off into garbage.

Have you seen Cujo? Not a monster movie, but it scared me as a kid.

I recommended Critters the other day. It's more alien, but I consider them monsters. It has some humor in it too.

Humor is always good. I'll check it out.

Did you watch Drag Me to Hell?

I like Drag Me to Hell. Very Evil Deadish, hopefully Raimi actually makes an Evil Dead 4 like he's hinted at. Drag Me to Hell may have been him testing the waters for it...

Hmmm... what about Feast? I haven't seen the second one yet, but I've been told I should.

The Thing is one of the all time best monster movies though. The Carpenter version.

Also watch Tosh spoil Human Centipede if you never actually want to watch it. Pretty funny.

It's freaking hilarious Mills, you should watch it.

Haha Metal. I love Tosh.0. I saw The Thing as a kid, freaked me out. Maybe I should watch it again. I'm still tempted to watch that Human Centipede movie, they are streaming it on Netflix.

And never heard of Feast... hmmm.

I miss my horror movie watching buddy. She and I would go see every scary movie that was in theaters while she was living here. Sad

The cool thing about The Thing is that 90% of the effects still hold up after all this time. Really it's only the horrid stop-motion animation at the end that hurts it now.

It needs an anniversary edition so they can remake that bit in CG.

Watch "Dead Alive" Sheep. That may have more gore than any movie I've ever seen. But it's not scary at all. Plenty of humor.
