Kentucky Derby®, invite you to sip and savor the glamour and glitz of
the Kentucky Derby with the Ultimate Kentucky Derby Luxury – the
Woodford Reserve $1,000 Mint Julep.
The 2011 cup is the most luxurious cup to date as we have partnered
with Tiffany & Co. to design an exclusive, limited edition cup for
Woodford Reserve and the $1,000 Mint Julep. There will be 103 cups
available (there have been 103 Kentucky Derby winners born in the state
of Kentucky) for purchase beginning April 11.
Each sterling silver cup will be presented in the signature Tiffany
& Co. "Blue Box" and will be set in a Woodford Reserve casing made
from the same wood as Woodford Reserve barrels are made from. These
individually numbered cups have been engraved with a beautiful horse
racing design along with the 2011 Kentucky Derby date and Woodford
Reserve logo and will come with a sterling silver sipping straw.
In
addition to the 103 traditional cups, there will also be three (3)
"Prestige" cups up for auction. These cups feature a design in 24 karat
gold vermeil originally used by Tiffany & Co. on a horse racing cup
created in 1876. Bidding on these extremely rare cups will start at
$2,000 each.
