Shift 2 or Forza 3?

I want to get another racing game eventually and i am not sure which.. I've heard good and bad things about both and i am wondering what the SeC thinks.

I don't know much about Shift 2, but I'm really enjoying Forza 3 right now.

I've only played the first Shift, I didn't know they already made a second one. I thought that game was a bit too floaty when I played it on my friend's PS3, something seemed really off about it.

Forza 3 is tops when it comes to simulation racers though. Damn good game, I've put over 100 hours into it. The only problem is that some of the cars cost WAY too much, you would need to put thousands of hours in to buy them all. You can still race them all in free race modes but you can't upgrade or customize them there. Luckily for me somebody gave me a billion glitched credits for a VW Rabbit. I got banned from Forza's marketplace for that though, even though all I did was put a car up for auction. Might have had to do with the fact that I was giving them out to people by the hundred million after that.

there is no competition when it comes to the best simulated physics and car customizing!! I have Forza 3. and i'm REALLY excited for forza 4 this fall.

I was an avid Gran Turismo player. but once forza 1 came out and i got it, i NEVER looked back.

For godsakes there's VISIBLE tire flex in forza 3!!

Thanks guys i'll proably end up getting forza 3 then. Since i won't be takeing summer classes i'll have a lot of free time.. a lot.

btw since it's release Forza 3 has had a bunch!! of car packs released. however they get pretty pricey and i only bought some of them.

VISIT the storefront once you get in the game. the live storefront is a place where people sell painted vinyls/cars/car setups/ and other interesting things.

Just a friendly FYI. when you win race series, your usually awarded with a free car. IF you decide to sell it, sell it on the storefront. the game will only give you $100 if you sell it outright. atleast on the storefront you might get some sucker to give you $10,000 for a prize car!!

Yeah if i get the game i was gonna get the ultimate collection version $30 and gives most of the DLC except the latest one i've read.

I need to get some of the new car packs, are there any with the Lexus LFA? I love that car.

Well i heard about Forza 4 that it will import all your cars and statistics and stuff from Forza 3 so i went ahead and ordering forza 3 should have it in a week or so... Gives me time to finish up some things.

And cardboard i did see an LF-A but i'd have no idea what pack would have it.

I got the Forza 2 game with my first xbox, and I thought it was kinda fun. I'm not really an expert on racing games though, but I've heard good things from a lot of people about Forza 3.

Apparently the UC comes with some exclusive cars which i think is kinda lame. But one of those cars happens to be a Plymouth Cuda... <3.

Just talked with a co-worker/friend/forza freak.

The ultimate collection gives you every DLC realeased for forza 3. the lfa is in that as well.

HOWEVER he'd be all over this supposed transfer of vehicles and statistics from forza 3 over to 4. he's heard nothing....?

It was posted on GFAQs just today also tells you the exclusive cars you get from buying the first shipment. I've heard you just miss out on the latest community DLC.

Damn, the LFA's part of Stig's Garage, which is UC exclusive. The pack includes the Mercedes SLS AMG, another epic car. DAMN YOU STIG!

Forza 3=More of a simulator feel, pretty good graphics, overpriced cars

NFS:2 2=Arcade Racer, haven't played much, last NFS I played was Hot Pursuit 2 for my PS2.

GT5=Need a PS3, but a great console simulator, thousands of cars, amazing graphics, and the only game that truly pushes the limits of the PS3's hardware. Some problems with distance rendering and zombie AI detract from over-all experience.

iRacing=Makes all other racing games go cry in a corner. Need a subscription to it, it's online only and only for PC. More racing series oriented. Best physics of all to date. Good online community w/o annoying 6 year olds that just crash into everything.

I'm gonna be pissed if the import thing doesn't work with a storefront-banned account.

Forza is awesome, but I've read a few reviews on Shift 2 and it sounds great.
A racing game where you actually look through the turns (thank god) and a sense of speed so scary and well done they say it's like a survival-horror racing game.

Sounds real good to me.
