Is it just me or does it sometimes feel like lvl 50s have a passive buff or something?

I'll chalk it up to skill really, but there are times I feel that there is a passive buff that no one knows about. Example, I unleash nearly an entire magazine into a lvl 50, and he still kills me. Even though we're using the exact same weapon, same perks and what have you.

Switch that scenario around and he does the same thing, but I still die. I can go guns ablazing and hip fire in near point blank range only for him to turn around and shot me two or three times with his pistol and kill me. I try that and he knifes me. It can't all be lag, and I normally do go for mid chest to head shots. Hell a friend of mine was getting frustrated at a lvl 50 who seemed to go full auto on the F2000 at long range and still manage to kill him. F2000: x4 optic + Magnum Ammo, I can't say anything about this guy because I wasn't killed by him all that often.

Am I complaining? Most likely, it's just frustrating at times when you're going up against someone who appears to be just that damn good ya know. Especially when you have to deal with stupid blueberries.

Don't mind me, just something I had to get off my chest. It's just crazy to find people who are that damn good at this game that they make it seem that they're cheating, let alone entire clans of them.

I've recently been running with a bunch of buddies of mine, and I swear, I can't go back to running solo again. Used to lone wolf it a lot back in the day because I didn't know many people who played. I've still yet to join a game with you guys/gals. Will have to do so when time permits.

Secret lvl 50 powers A-C-T-I-V-A-T-E!!!!

Its true once you hit 50 it opens up a whole new world of posibilities. Nothing is forbidden, nothing is sacred, all tha you once knew gone as dust in the wind!

Lol, I don't know if I should take you seriously Terry (Probably won't xD)

I think it's a psychological thing as well. Many people automatically stamp those who have the highest level as amazing players who are akin to demigods on the battlefield. This usually affects their performance, perhaps subconsciously this is what's going on when I see a lvl 50 as well.

Then again, seeing half the enemy team as level 50's and in a clan sure didn't help any lol.

Totally not serious Arty. But thats where all my special tactics and flanking routes I use were learned. So I doubt there is an actually statistical buff, but just knowlage of the level and how enemies move through it is a really helpful thing to know.

Yea, I'd say it's because of experience and skill. I know what I'm doing now, and am much better at thinking on the fly. From playing as much as I have, I must have gotten better reflexes or something because I am able to often beat people that shot at me first. My favorite tactic is C4 on the outside of buildings though, I could never do that before but after playing for so long I've gotten really good at it.

lvl 50's need a nerf!

And I agree wacco, after 500 hours of this game I feel like i really understand it through and through and can move through the battlefield pretty well.

The next step to becoming a great player is learning how to stay alive and not just kill.

The art of running away screaming from sudden death is something that I am well versed in. Razz

It's just BC2's typically crappy hit detection. You probably only notice it when it happens against 50's because of their big shiny emblem.

It's just muscle memory at this point; 75% of the time I'm not really aware of what I'm doing.

haha I agree level 50's seem to cheat... -___- I was playing against a bunch of them last night...I don't think I've ever even had a level 50 on my team...always nubs.....anybody want to play tonight?I'm up lol Very Happy

Yeah, I just admit that they're better players than me. I'm usually the better player among my friends who have a substantially less amount of play time and experience than I do. Map knowledge and muscle memory is real important, you can't think about what to do, you just have to be able to do it automatically.

I haven't played as much as you guys so perhaps after I've played for a while, I'll be at the point where I can just destroy other players in the same fashion.

Now that I think about it, muscle memory describes it perfectly. I honestly don't think that much when I play anymore, I just do haha.

I'm glad there are no controller-shaped guns in real life. Is it just me or does it sometimes feel like lvl 50s have a passive buff or something? 2458268739
