Ok so the day is getting close. Less than 4 months away now. Im starting to get nervous, and second thoughts. Ive heard this is rather normal? Shit is crazy, a total mind fuck. I love he, and have been around the block enough to know I will never find another woman so perfect for me. But Im still nervous about the whole LIFE LONG FUCKING COMMITMENT! Even though the way I feel for her comforts me, i fear my independence may come back to bite me in the ass in the future. Any advice? Did any of you guys/gals have these thoughts?

Its weird as I when I proposed and until now I haven't even thought about it. But as its gotten closer....

I think this is typical. I wouldn;t stress it to much. If you know you love her then shit will work itself out. Always does. Been married over 11 years now and have had my share of rough patches but we are still going strong.

Yeah I got a little bit nervous but not freak out nervous. Just wait until your actually at the venue and people start walking in. That's when it really hit me, that this is happening, it wasn't really a fear though, or even a panic, probably more of an
adrenaline boost. I wouldn't worry about it though man, the day itself is awesome, and it flys by SO fast. Next thing you know it's sunday morning and your trying to recall the whole last day.

Good man, and congrats!

Thanks. Makes me feel better to know this is rather typical. Especially for the man haha. I know I do love her, and she has stuck by me through some pretty tough times, and was always there for me. She lets me be me. Play my games, go to concerts and get hammered, hand out with my buds, lets me work on my band, doesn't complain about my pot habit and accepts my general craziness. Therefore I think I have a winner.

If you love her, then you will be fine. If you're questioning whether you love her or not, then that would be something else. It's normal to start feeling like this. I know I was a bit, but not as much as my ex. Just don't let the stress or anything like that get to you too much. She couldn't handle it all and ran, hence my new found single life. Sucks, but not much I could do about it. Congrats to you and I'm sure you and your future wife will both be fine. Just know that things will be both good and bad at times, and that everything can always be worked out.

Double bonus!!!!!!!!!!

It's a life changing experience. So there's nothing wrong with some nerves. Even if yall have lived with each other for awhile its still a major event in your life.

Good advice here. Thanks guys. I know I do love her, which is honestly the first time I could say this. Ive "been in love" before. But this time its different. Before in previous relationships, I thought " Hey this is fun, but theres no way I could spend my life with her". Now its like " Hey this is fun, but oh shit, thinking of life without her seems unthinkable at this point"

I guess thats the turning point eh?

@ Terry- Its hard to find a girl for a man that will even bring those thoughts out. So the fact you already see that is a good sign in my opinion.

@ Kalei- Sorry to hear about that man. That must have been rough. But at least you get solace in knowing it wasn't right anyways. I figure stuff like that always happens for a reason.

Marriage isnt for everyone. You really have to adapt to the idea of compromise. So does she.

My life was pretty empty before I met Mrs. Z. I can't imagine life without her now.

You'll be alright Sym. Try not to argue about Money. And try to control your jealousy. 2 things that ruin marriages quickly.

It's alright. Everything does happen for a reason. It was rough, but I'm over it. Life goes on.
