nope. really dont think it would happen. Although thats an impossible situation. its not like an american soldier would somehow get killed without them invading the south, and if they invaded the south, THAT would be the reason the US would be dragged into it.

Plus, I dont think theres nearly as much support for a war in korea as there would be in Iran. Few in congress are suggesting we go to war there, but a good portion are suggesting we take some sort of action in Iran.

Frankly neither are good ideas at the moment.

if they invaded the south, and americans didnt die there still would be retaliation. wether that is just mobilizing the 30,000 troops and carrier fleets in the region, or if its sending more supplies over there (im not sure what the plan of action would be). I have a feeling that the south would gain air superiority pretty quickly over the north's obsolete air force... and from that point it would really be over....

im sure storm has a better understanding of how this all would work.

The point is that even if we would go to war (which is very unlikely because of China) it would be over fairly quickly.
