Mrs. Terry of Hat

I need some new books to fill up my new Kindle Fire. Just finished the Hunger Games trilogy, loved it. I read just about everything but I generally veer towards fantasy or something thought-provoking. Any ideas?

Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy if you haven't read any of the six book trilogy yet. There were also a couple Spider Man books I read a couple years back that I liked. Don't remember the names of them though. And yes, I'm talking about real books, not graphic novels.

Six books? There were only five when he died.

But yes,Hitchhiker's... is a hilarious read full of WTF moments and quirkiness that forces you to reread sentences.

Hitchikers should be mandatory reading for all Secsers.

The Wheel of Time books... half way through that series I started getting the feeling that even the author didn't really know what the point was anymore. Stopped reading it.

Recently I read Joe Abercrombies: The Blade Itself, Before They Are Hanged and Last Argument of Kings. They were pretty damn good. I was pleased.

You know... I think a SeC book exchange should be set up too.

I also second Obsidian Trilogy, Sword of Truth and Song of Fire and Ice. And the dark angel ones Pariah mentioned.

You could read The Host by Stephanie Meyer, much better than the Twatlight novels.

Weheel of Time..... I also stopped reading this after book 5 or 6..... The shit just wasn't going anywhere.

Martin's Song of Ice and Fire!

Chronicles of a Necromancer is a pretty good read. The first book is called The Summoner.

A book exchange would work as long as people are cool with address exchanges.

Digital books, im not sure if you can trade them yet.

Ill look into that middle party mail exchange thing again.

Basicly you make an account and get a code.
then when you mail something you send it to the middleman address along with the code of the other person and they mail it out, with out anyone knowing personal info on anyone.

I can't remember is this was free or not though >.>

Wheel of Time: it does meander a bit in the middle, but now everything is starting to come together in with the last book about to be finished a published (I have not been disappointed by the last 2)
Night Angel Trilogy: Good stuff, not pure fantasy, but good none the less. The same author started a new series called Lightbringer with the first book called The Black Prism. More pure fantasy than NA, but good set-up for what looks to be an interesting series.
Anything by David Eddings
Piers Anthony, Terry Brooks (several series that end up being one giant series)

I can't recommend Sword of Truth, I read up to the 7th book, and by then the same plot device from 2-7 drove me nuts. Now that it is a CW show, I bring myself to even look at it.

I don't share well, I wouldn't be part of the book exchange. Plus, I've had my fill of stalkers

I tend to like certain authors more than actual series or books. Brent Weeks is my newest favorite (NA) and Robert Jordan has been an all time favorite. I've read other series by RJ like his Conan stuff, and his historical fiction series (Fallon's series) and have enjoyed both. I've read some historical books too.

I'm not sure who all reads digital books, but you can loan out Kindle books that you own. You just can't read the book while it's on loan, just like a real book. You just have to have the person's e-mail address, and they can read it on their PC or a Kindle device. If anyone has one, let me know! I'd love to do that because I love reading on my Kindle.

Try World War Z, always a good read, as well as The Passage by Justin Cronin (its long, and quite in depth but my god is it gripping (also, not zombies really, more mutant vampires (real murderous ones not sparkly bitch vampires)))
