...are a dangerous combination. I buy games like they were candy this way.

While looking (all morning) for quirky, interesting or awesome 2D games that might be cool to have on the Vita (there are a bunch...) I found this!

Z.H.P. Seriously... How could I not buy that? I don't even know if I'll ever actually play it, but look how crazy awesome it seems

I also bought this! It's hard to tell from this vid, but it's like 3D Dot Game Heroes where you get to design your own sprite graphics, characters, weapons etc...

...I just now realized they are by the same company. Maybe I should just get all there games...

Here's a couple screenshots of Caldun so you can see what its retro sprite style looks like better.

This guy made a rubber chicken as his weapon.

lol, sounds like the biggest thing stopping you from spending money is the action of having to get up and spend money Razz

Yeah... except I don't even have to get up. All I have to do is push a button to download it.

I really like the look of that Caldun - gonna check it out, thanks for sharing!

I've been hearing pretty good things about a game called Corpse Party, so I downloaded it last night (not had a chance to play it yet though).

Trailer time:

Despite the initially cutesy look, it's meant to be genuinely freakish and disturbing - woot!

Edit: just watched that first trailer you posted and it was fucking brilliant! Also - ClaDun x2 is £15.99?! DAYUM. It'll have to wait at that price, sadly Sad

Me too, it's on my buy list. The thing is that I haven't been into jrpg's for years... at the same time there are so many cool looking and interesting ones for PSP I almost can't help myself.

The rules are:
1. It has to stand out and be cool, interesting quirky or all of the above.
2. It has to be 2D, or done in a 2D artistic way that translates well to the Vita screen. 3D PSP games already look dated, but 2D done well is timeless...

However I'm pretty pissed there are no Space Opera/Space Sim games though. The only cool looking one is on DS so I might have to break out the 3DS sometime.

Yeah, I'm really enjoying it even with all its shortcomings. That's praise considering how anti-Sony I normally am.
Cool that you got one. Now we can exchange LittleBigPlanet stuff!

Send me another FR Sym. I thought I already had you as a PSN buddy but it doesn't show you on the list. (Unless you changed your name)

Cool. I'll send you one once I figure out how...

Err... Are you planning on getting LittleBigPlanet? I hope the DLC is cross platform because I bought all of it for LBP 1 & 2.

Yea Im gonna get Little Big Planet. Perfect for a system like the Vita. Ill sned you a FR. I figured out how last night after sending one to the wife unit.

BTW this is a really cool handheld guys. I prefer to play this over my PS3. Its a perfect compliment to my PC as well. Price is a little steep, but its worth it IMO.

Sent you an FR last night.
Yeah I'm digging this little machine. Still hate my PS3 though. Very Happy

You really can't hate PS3, at least in terms of money invested to the performance you CAN get out of it (not that you are guaranteed to use it to the full extent). Blu-ray playing capability alone can cover the machine price, so the investment is returned in full just by this feature alone.

Anyway, when the new SD Gundam G Generation series are launched for VITA, I will be getting on the VITA wagon.

The Vita is pretty sweet. After a week of use my thoughts are-

Pros

- Amazing screen. Its huge and the resolution is great.
- Dual sticks and button layout
-Touch screen is very responsive
- Comfortable and light
- Graphics for a handheld are impressive( Have Uncharted and Ninja Gaiden and both look very nice)

Cons
- Back screen is awkward and gets in the way. I hit it on accident all the time and am very slowly adjusting.
- Glossy finish and finger prints show up big time
- Short supply of current games

All in all very good piece of hardware. I like it and am glad with the purchase. Will be using it alot over the years I reckon.
