I already verified my account and I've been using it for like a month. Why do they need a photo id, proof of address and proof of ssn? I'm a college student, I don't even have a proof of address.

that's why I quit bothering with ebay,requiring paypal which is too many damn hoops to jump through.They wanted a real bank account and all this bullshit from me....I'm like...really....to attach a prepaid debit card to the account.It'll be amazon forever more for me

I didnt either at first but apparently they need more information now. Usually it's due to laundering concerns or something but I've put less than 50 USD through that account so I have no idea why they're so concerned about my activity.

Yeah, I got a prepaid Visa from walmart the other day and had to give them my ssn and stuff to register it online. It must be something fairly recent. Apparently those things are meant to be used over a long period of time and are different from the gift cards.
