The only one I would object against is doom metal...you can generally understand the lyrics in it.

I also don't know how "good" glam metal can be considered.

There is death metal, thrash metal, grind, and some blackened and I could care less about any other subgenre.

Exactly, or thrash.

Speed metal is a made up genre non metal heads say.

All metal is fast, and much faster than any other genre. Even Doom.

Thrash metal is what most people consider speed metal.

Hehe, I've been cruising your underground metal thread since you guys started posting most everything. But I like a lot of different genres, metal, old rock, rap, random stuff mostly, so I don't really specialise in anything.

Im a big fan of blues and jazz fusion as well.

I could back it up too....now I will admit some electronica is fast paced, but the fastest metal can exceed 300 bpm, which ive never heard achieved in any other genre. Not to mention, nobody is actually playing an instrument in electronica.

Electronica isn't always live instrument free, but yeah the faster kinds usually are... although there can be some dnb with live drums that can get pretty fast.

I agree that fastest metal out there definitely beats the fastest of any genre with all live instruments. I don't think the slowest metal does...but I might have misunderstood you there.

Yea I probably should have worded that differently as I read it again. I didnt mean ALL metal. Just the faster stuff.

Was drinking heavily yesterday so I had a few posts that came out wrong...
