Just played Armored kill (PS3)

I've only played for a little bit, but I'll sum it up as best I can, until I can get more gameplay. Though by that moment you'll be playing it everywhere else I guess.

- Tank superiority sucks. Seriously. It's fucking boring. A load of tanks, shoot each other, take one flag. That's it.

- Rush is awesome in AK. OK, BS. I've only played about 6 matches, but the truth is that it's stupidly one sided for the attackers. They get a fuckton of vehicles, and in most maps spawn closer to the crates than the defenders (stupidity at its best). Spawning close is possible due to the AC-130 paradrops. The defenders get like, 1 tank and maybe 1 air vehicle <_< So, Rush can be awesome if you're attacking, and even then... stomping the enemy isn't the most fun ever to be honest. In all the maps (have yet to play on Bandar Desert Rush), only in about 2-3 bases did the defenders actually had a chance of winning.

- Maps themselves are made of win, the problem is the execution. Too bad 24 players is kinda empty. Seems like this expansion needs to be played on the PC to really shine.

Overall, I had fun. Playing Rush only. Tank Superiority, I got the ribbon and I'm never going back there. Haven't played Conquest yet. Too fucking busy.

Its definitely a PC only type deal from what I saw...on 24 players...that AC-130 slays with not enough people to take it down.

that's about what I expected, a bore fest on consoles....

Yeah with 24 players I figured it was pretty much just going to be a caspian snooze fest all over again.

This is why I didn't buy Premium, I knew there would be at least one DLC I didn't want.

I guess I'm just really paranoid I'd spend all the money to build a pc, then new hardware comes out so quickly, it would be so outdated and wouldn't be able to even run games

I don't know if I would have wanted it regardless of PC or not personally. But thats just me.

Buy ahead of the curve, save up buy a rig that will be so powerful that you'll not have to worry about upgrading for at least three years. By then you should be able to gut and start over. Certain parts may be cannibalized which reduces some of the cost compared to the initial build. I've done this three times already and I don't regret it one but. Consoles have been collecting dust ever since I came back to the pc gaming world.

Ill pass on the master race, last time I was told about one...blonde hair and blue eyes were a requirement. I like just using my pc for emulators and leaving my noticeable less used xbox for games.

I blame Milk leaving, honestly...if Shiima left console...I'd just quit altogether.

Pretty sure Shinma has plans in the works for a new rig.

When I come back ill probably build something for starcraft and possibly FF14 because im a closet nerd and have never played an MMO.

Do NOT play FF14, i repeat do NOT play that sad excuse of a game. It's absolutely horrible. I wasted 75 bucks on that game, and it was the greatest let down in the history of gaming for me. That steaming pile of goat feces is an insult to all consumers and loyal customers of SE products.

Square took peoples money and shit all over their trust with that "game", even after all their "fixes" it's still a terribly broken game. Get GW2, it's a far superior MMO in the end.

Lions Arch underwater is just incredible. i thought that JC2 did a good job on underwater scenery but GW2 is waaaay better

It's NOT pretty, it's cookie cutter, lego bricks. They limit your quests to x amount a day like 5 or 10, then they have this archaic "mini" game that is based all on chance of giving you something useful for crafting, on top of that it's a roll of the dice if you actually are successful at crafting said item, at first you'll have a near 80-90% failure rate, which DESTROYS the materials you just spent the last three weeks fucking farming!

Back to the quests, the mobs don't lose agro, they'll chase you all the way back to town where they'll kill you and you can't just spawn back and go there, oh no no no, that would make too much sense. No, the ignorant fucks who developed this POS "game" decided it would be smart to make you run all 5 minutes back to the zone you must quest in, which by the way, they have a time limit on each damn quest being 15 minutes! WTF?! So you wasted 5 minutes getting there, then you die because the mobs also randomly glitch and regenerate back to 100% health, you have extremely little in terms of actual crowd control so good luck if you get caught with more than one mob, not only that, some are CHAINED across the fricken map so they agro together no matter what you do.

Trust me, you do NOT want to get FF14. Unless you're a masochist and don't care that you're getting a product that is still in pre alpha development in quality.

GW2 cranked has really good graphics. Especially for an MMO

Take everything you hated from 11 and put it into 14. Did i mention the Japanese' obsession with menus? You have to go through no three not four but SIX freaking menus just to equip a fricken sword!

The interface was atrocious, and the lack of a proper auction house is terrible. Everything was set to individual "trading" posts for the character. First you had to FIND the character who was trying to sell something in a gaggle fest in a tavern, then you had to scroll through his or her inventory hunting for what you wanted, if you didn't find it, you had to rinse and repeat with the next guy.

Don't get me started on the crazy payment system "Crysta"

The "game" is the worst video game I've ever played in my entire history of gaming, the worst part is that they charged full price for this game. It's a title that had so many people raging at how poor the quality and clearly not complete in development that SE fired the ENTIRE development team, yes that's right, they fired the entire team. They then were forced to make it FTP as a means to try an "appologize" to their fan base. It's a black mark that they'll probably never live down, even EA and ACTIVISION at least have some integrity in regards to their games. FF14 is an atrocity that SE should be very ashamed of every having released and should regret ever putting their name on it. They'll feel it for a very long time.

SE I will give credit for trying to make amends, but they lost a lot of loyal customers the day they decided to push a product that should have been in development for at least another year IMO.

I played 11.. It's really a great MMO, but you needed to put a lot of time into it.. However the last time i played it was years ago they said a lot of it is changed and most can be solo'd now.

I wanted it when it came out but my computer wasnt so great and playing on the PS2 was a chore.

I played it on PS2 with a keyboard, you can also buy it for 360, talking about it now is makeing it kind of appealing.. I know they're comeing out with another expansion soon.

It's also cross platform and cross regional which is pretty impressive, not sure how the community held up though.

The community is alive. The 360 edition does seem pretty good...just have to look into the functionality of it.

Played some more Rush now. It's incredibly stupid. Basically, a team of non-coordinated randoms can stomp most bases if they are attacking, even when playing against a decent team. I'm guessing it will take very good players on defense, against very stupid players on attack to win if you defend.

Rush is hopeless. I'm guessing that DICE will balance it if they can, hopefully it's done server-side.

If I attack, I get about 6 kills in about 30 seconds in the AC-130, then it's destroyed. I go arm an MCOM (because it's that easy, while the enemy is shooting at air vehicles, or the 6 fucking tanks coming at them). If I defend, I hide in a corner and cry. I've been surrounded by 3 tanks and about 3-4 players and being fired upon by the AC-130, at the same time. That was me being naive hoping to protecet the crate.


Right now, Premium isn't worth $50. Hell, I got mine for $25 and still think it's shitty. Hopefully that will change once the other 2 expansions are out, but I'm not holding my breath.

About the PC gaming master race... every month I'm a bit closer to it

The experience is way better on PC adi, trust me on this. Not sure if you watch the videos I post but...yeah...

Rush in BF3 is just bad, play CQ.

It's slow sometimes, yeah, but it's far less retarded and the better team wins the vast majority of the time.

Tank Superiority is balls as well. I am disappoint, all that karate kid style training for tank combat for the mode to be as terrible as possible.

It certainly shapes up to look that way. Tankers on consoles are kinda Lovin-tier bad, even to me...and im like....Soap tier bad in Tanks.

The idea of the mode itself is shitty though. That's the problem with Tank Superiority. DICE is just recycling modes, instead of actually thinking about new ones. I like Conquest, so I'll try it tomorrow. It's the one thing that can make AK not suck.
