Anyone else excited for this?

I will say I think three movies is crazy and I feel like its a big cash grab for them. I hope I am wring and its good tho!


I'm going to the midnight showing and taking the wife and kids! Hope they can stay up!!!!!! Going to be fun because I read the hobbit to the kids a few years ago.

Yea I couldn't believe my eyes because the hobbit is smaller than any of the Rings trilogy and they did one movie for each of those. They say they are going to show things like when Gandalf splits off from the group but still........ 3????

Glad to see others are hyped tho! Read the book when I was like..... 8 and it helped shape me to love fantasy and helped me become a nerd haha

yeah stretching one book into three movies is kind of ridiculous. I could see two maybe but three is kind of obvious it's a cash grab.

I will go see it but I have no idea how they plan to make this into three movies. There just isn't that much content in the Hobbit.
