My friend is trying to convert me to scientology

Weird shit...

He dropped out of school about a month ago and just recently has been trying to get me to go to the local church of Scientology with him. He's been an atheist his whole life (know him since preschool), but a couple weeks ago he did some test with them and has been going fairly regularly lately......

Maybe its not a bad thing, but Ive heard so many stories about the CoS brainwashing kids when theyre young. The whole thing seems more like a cult than a religion

It's a bad thing. Trust me on this, they're a bunch of bastards. I went to seven of their tests, all of them told me the same damn thing (after I made up seven aliases with different personalities). Their entire schtick is getting uncertain people into the church and milking them dry.

How was your friend rich enough to afford the entrance fee

i dont know much about tbh. but everything i hear sounds bad. its a church based off of a novel by a science fiction writer >_>

I'm not one to criticize someones for their religion. In fact I find calling someone an idiot for what they believe is a little pretentious. Whatever you choose to believe so long as it brings you happyness and peace in the end then so be it.

I just think we sometimes look to hard at what a religion claims happened, instead of the message they try to teach.
