Considering building or buying a full sized Virtual pinball cabinet.

If I build it myself then how much would these computer specs (or better) cost me? I Just need a ballpark estimate such as $725 or $1400 etc... Also what would I need (cost) to keep it cool and ventilated locked inside a wooden pinball machine?

So right about $1000 or so?
They're asking $1350 for theirs built and ready to plug in. Probably worth the extra $400 to me just to not have to mess with it.

Then again if I can get some PC building friend of mine to put it all together for me that would work to I guess.

that's not too bad I guess for it totally ready Razz

Wait......they have GPU's in pinball machines?

Im confused

Get two (maybe 4) 120mm case fans.

And as for the PSU, are you going to be hooking up the cabinet lighting to it as well? 1000 watts is mega overkill for that setup unless you're powering something else with it.

A lot of modern arcade games are catching up to current PC tech. A buddy of mine who manages an arcade chain showed me the inside of a new racing game they got in. It looked like my last PC build, haha.

This would actually be for a Hyperpin Pinball cabinet.

Basically a full sized pinball machine with 3 lcd screens in it that plays video pinball re-creations of real tables (via Visula Pinball or Future Pinball).

Basically a big pinball simulator. I'm just toying with the idea of getting one.

Like this (although I'd rather have an inset screen)

Or possibly a smaller one like this:

I think so.
I've been shopping for pinball tables on a daily basis and these things are effin' expensive.

I was thinking it might be better to just buy 1 really nice video machine and call it good ha!

...well maybe another real one to go with my Hobbit pinball table and arcade machines.

You should get this, and then invite me over for pinball. I like pinball.

I'm thinking about it. My Hobbit table doesn't arrive until 2014 so I'm either going to need a different real table or one of these to tide me over.

Yeah. It's based off of all 3 Hobbit movies and it is supposed to finish manufacture and ship about the time the 3rd movie releases in theaters.

Interesting. So probably not until late 2014 then?

I want a pinball machine.

Well after seeing how freaking amazing this companies first (and only) pinball table was, I decided to jump on pre-ordering their next.

Hopefully it is even better and more impressive now that they have the kinks out of the process. Plus the Hobbit is a better theme that has a really good chance of increasing in value.

Is it going to be a real pinball table? Or one of those digital ones?

Real deal. Their first was based on the Wizard of Oz and is one of (if not the) highest quality looking tables ever. I'll post some stuff in a minute.

Probably. It's a beautiful table, but the Wizard of Oz theme music would drive me insane.

Kari and I got married in Vegas and we timed it for January 10th because that's when the porn convention is in town.
