Hard drive company really matter?

I have a seagate 1tb but thinking of getting a WD Caviar Black whenever I need more space one day.Heard the WD "green" drives are garbage

Hard drives, along with motherboards are probably the two components with the highest failure rates among PC parts. Brand doesn't really matter, but I usually go with Western Digital.

the Caviar line is excellent all on it's own, all the colours do is designate what the focus of the drive is.

Black, performance at the cost of power usage and noise.

Blue, general use, blend of the two

Green, low power usage and noise output at the expense of performance.

ah.Yeah I'll probably try them out next. Half of my 1tb drive went really fast and I only have like half of my steam games installed
