*sigh* Wonder how the anti's are going to spin this to try and stir up emotions this time.

This is saddening, at least no one died in this case. What the hell compelled this kid to want to shoot the other I wonder, morality seems to be dead in this generation.

Thank god no one seems to know how to actually use a gun.

I have a hunch that the shooter was being bullied by the person he shot.

How much you want to bet that if the kid had died that the anti's would have been dancing over his corpse before it even had the chance to grow cold? Disgusting.

The "pros" do the same thing, just in the other direction.

I'm with Tom. Shooter was probably bullied.

Not saying the pro's don't do their own kind of BS too, but more often than not, it's the anti' spewing their agenda in the wake of tragedies such as this.

But I digress, thankfully the kid isn't dad. If he's lucky, he won't have too much brain damage, my heart and prayers to the family, I hope the kid heals quickly,

Regardless if the kid shot was a victim or an instigator, this is just plain wring on so many levels. Kids these days are growing up not knowing how to deal with their problems and their only course is to go out and kill the other person? Wtf.

Thus the cycle of moral decay continues, how sad.

I'm with Ante and Tom on this, kid had to have been bullied

Also, before we even get into the pro/anti debate, I'm just gonna leave this here

I'm not going to push it any further, it's just sad. Both sides will be spinning this, but more often than not, it's the same old crew spewing their agendas.

For the record, I agree that the shooter was likely being bullied. Regardless of politics, this is tragic and pointless. Granted I've gotten in my share of fist fights as a kid, I never actually wanted to kill the bastards that were picking on me.

I'll drop the politics here, this type of stuff shouldn't be politicized, so that was my bad for turning it into something like that.

The thing is, if the media wasn't so stupid, they wouldn't talk about this, and glorify murderers by giving them attention, then there wouldn't be nearly this many shootings.

Also, another thing they fail to mention is how many deaths happen per year due to driving, or deaths from diseases/disorders created by alcohol/drugs; compared to firearms, they are extremely high. It's pitiful that the media also makes firearms out to be the problems, when the real problem is the lack of security in schools, allowing bullies to roam free around children, and lack of psychiatric professionals to take care of people with mental disabilities/problems that lead to things like this.

It's what's hot right now, the media will do anything to raise their ratings sadly, it's a for profit business after all. Lets not forget that the media is rabidly anti gun to begin with.

Yeah, and it pisses me off quite a bit. I don't know why half of the fixes they propose they think will solve anything. The only things I've liked are: Better background checks, and backgrounds to be required at gun shows. The whole "lower the magazine size" thing is preposterous. They don't seem to get that if somebody wanted to kill more people they could just carry more magazines on them. Problem solved for them, lol. That, and recent shootings haven't killed as many people as some serial killers have with knives, strangulation, or poison. Oh, and they could've just used a bomb. Criminals will always be criminals, and will always have the high-capacity magazines, "assault weapons", bombs, drugs, and anything else they want, whether it's legal or not. People just seem to have a hard time understanding that. Sad

Ignorance is bliss, many willfully choose to remain such sadly. They get strung along like sheep being fed lies and misinformation (This applies to many things regardless of politics). This is why I don't trust anything I hear on the news or I take it with a grain of salt.

The new stations are more concerned with pushing their ratings and furthering the political agendas of others than actually giving factual and clear cut news reports sadly. That's why I like BBC, that's all the do, report the news, no political BS. Here's what happened and what caused it.

It's sad that we can't trust our own news broadcasters, but you know, almost all their crap that they report is just downright depressing anyway. If I wanted to feel depressed I'd just go to a field filled with dead baby seals or something.

UPDATE:

Okay, you all know how passionate I am about supporting the 2A but this one just floored me. This was posted by someone on forum I frequent that discusses firearms.

Conspiracy Theorist wrote:The US is in dept up to it's eye balls to China. China is using this as leverage and telling Obama to dis-arm it's public. The big question is , why does China want the US public disarmed? It will be done in small steps. Obama has 4 years to start the process.

All I can say is wow...just...wow...I have no idea where to even begin with that one.

Yeah, I really don't think this has anything to do with China, that's ridiculous, lol. I'm pretty sure it was just this shooting, then all of the gun-haters tried to make it sound like everything is the fault of any gun owner, and anybody who actually believes the media jumping on the bandwagon. Oh, and blaming videogames for the problem too is really laughable as well; I have no idea how anybody can keep a straight face and blame videogames for murders. It's like: yeah, videogames are the problem of everything and that's why there's so much violence, same with TV, because all of the societies before ours who raped women for fun, invented the iron maiden (along many other torture devices) and the A-Bomb were all huge videogame players. xD

Any invasion of mainland China or the US would result in nuclear retaliation

So disarming the general populace doesnt really accomplish anything other than preventing the survivors of a nuclear holocaust from easing their suffering the quick way
