No Xbox for me :(

I was GONNA play some BC2, but I went down and discovered that my dad had stolen part of the power plug for it again. Probably to punish me for something. Likely reasons are that I played Xbox with my friend all day on monday or that my parents were pissed off at me because I didn't do some work that is due next thursday. My dad is a redneck and thinks video games are the devil so this is how he responds to situations.

If your dad steals part of a power cable that can be replaced at a store...he's probably a redneck.

If your dad assumes everything that draws attention away from Gawd and is electronic is evil...he's probably a redneck.

If your dad hates electronics but knows how to hotwire any electrical device known to mankind... he's probably a redneck.

I punish my son from his xbox all the time. He knows the rules. If he fucks up, he loses his xbox. It's a fitting punishment.

The thing is I don't fuck up. I never break predetermined rules. I get good grades 24/7 and do whatever he asks me. Just sometimes I'll be preoccupied and not do what he says because I'm listening to music and can't hear him. Or sometimes He'll ask me to do something that isn't at all urgent and I'll put it off for like half an hour and he'll throw a fit because I didn't do something like feed the cat which is outside in the first place.

The other day my parents got in a big fight over who should be responsible for helping me with "things" because apparently all I do is play video games and can't do things for myself. Except that "thing" was actually planning a meeting that was supposed to happen next week and I didn't want any help in the first place. By the way I don't know when he event took it because I haven't played my 360 since last weekend when my friend came over and before that weekend I don't even know when it was.

Or sometimes he decides I'm being bad because I didn't empty the trash or clean out the dishwasher when he never asked me do it. He just thinks I should know exactly what household chores he wants done all the time and he gets frustrated and punishes me when I don't.

This is exactly how I feel. One day during the summer he actually told me what he wanted me to do and I did everything on the list but I forgot about one thing. He was still unsatisfied and when I asked for allowance that week he acted like I didn't do anything at all.

At least he doesn't borrow money from you, tell you he'll pay it back, and never do, then when he owes you $100 dollars, yells at you, and said that you're ingrateful, and who cooks and such? (like my Mom)

Nah he's not a bad guy... he's just childish in some ways and can be unfair. My 24 year old brother, 18 year old sister, and my mom all say he's like a little kid when he doesn't get his way hahaha.

If my dad took my xbox I would probably slash his tires. I don't really have anything to lose at this point so I wouldn't care lol.

If my kid didn't do his homework and won't be able to do a good job before it's due then I'd probably ban him from games until it's done. That's not really unreasonable unless you and your dad knows that you have the ability to finish it in a week and still ace it.

Well it was like a half an hour job that I needed to complete by sometime next week, and it wasn't even school related. So...

Nah he usually just steals the whole Xbox and hides it somewhere. This time I was surprised cause I went to turn it one and nothing happened. Then I realized that none of the cords were attached. I figured that my dad had messed it up trying to get madden 1994 or whatever he plays on the N64 working. So I pulled TV holder furniture type thing away from the wall to plug everything back in and discovered that the power cord part with the big box on it was gone.

Damn that blows then dude.

I searched like every inch of my house. He must have brought it to work or thrown it away. Or someone broke into my house and stole nothing but a $25 power converted for an Xbox that was behind my TV.
