SO Its taking forever to load Windows. I mean a couple of minutes. Everything else works completely fine, but there is obviously something going on here as this just came out of the blue yesterday. I dont know what could be causing this.

I have an SSD and Windows is installed on it. Could this be possible SSD failure?

I dont know what to do.....

Are you having long load times to when opening other applications too? There are A LOT of reason why this could be happening. I would first benchmark the SSD using AS SSD, compare those scores with what the average is for your drive, and check your start-up programs.

Its simple Sym.

Download more porn.

My only suggestion is check out what's running on startup. I cut my load times in half when I disabled origin on startup, that might contribute.

Also, it might help if you download more RAM.

the read/write look like half of what they should be,then again if it's a really old SSD that might be normal. All SSDs I've looked at are like 550mb/500 or so I think offhand.

Damn thats not good.....WTF.....

Kingston is supposed to be good. Now if it was an unreliable OCZ brand I'd expect that >__>

This SSD is only like 15 months old

What is the average AS SSD score for your SSD? Also the score can vary depending on what you are running.

My condolences Sym. Reading this fills me with PC hating rage and it isn't even my computer.

if you didn't do anything out of the normal and it's suddenly taking much longer to load, etc. in my redneck opinion,it might be the ssd going bad Razz

I still dunno if I want one,it's alot of money for not that much space,I just have a 1TB 7200rpm seagate

God I hope thats not the case....

I dont have the money to buy another one..

Find out what SSD it is and start searching benchmark scores. Also check the smart data on the drive and see if you have the latest firmware. If all of that fails, then check the warranty on it. Most SSD's have a 3-5 year warranty.

SO strange thing

Booted in safe mode to see if I could catch where it was getting snagged.......

Booted super fast, no snag, no delay, nothing

Rebooted normally, and wow back to normal.

What the Hell?

Hope you get it figured out sym. Fucking PCs always have weird ass problems. Part of the reason I shy away from them for gaming purposes. I'd freak the geek out if my gaming device just started crapping out on me all of a sudden.

Hasn't happened yet *fingers crossed*. I had a PS3 that shit the bed on me, but my original and xbox 360 have both been troopers.

my 360 almost never gets turned off anymore either, since we no longer have cable and we watch netflix on it.

I got 2 RROD

Shit sucks, man

My launch console got it in less than year

Yeah, consoles always seem to have problems at launch anymore. Always a good idea to wait a bit and hope they get those things hammered out.

Sym, did it just magically fix itself then?

Indeed

Broken shit just sucks in general

Seems that way

I think it was a driver issue. Had a bunch of Windows Updates that may have caused it.

I was really worried my motherboard and/or my graphics card would arrive broken/dead

My first 360 got RROD after a couple years. No big deal though as MS fixed it for free and I had it back and working perfectly within 12 days.

My first PS3 also quite working right. Sony wanted $150 + shipping to fix it. I just bought a new one instead.

I personally went through 7 PS2's that died of DRE.

Not a single original Xbox died on me. Not even any of my rental systems. My PS2 rental systems had to be repaired every 2 or 3 months.

My various gaming PC's/network had problems probably twice a week on average.

You talking about the PC's? Yeah, mostly it was just the amount of people that fucked with them on a daily basis. Adding, changing, installing etc...

I had a PS2 that still works to this day. It was one of the slim ones.

JrTapia1991
