Battlefield 3 Gets a 1.92GB Patch, DICE Insists You Download It

DICE has released a new, enormous multiplayer patch for Battlefield 3 today, excitingly titled 'Multiplayer Update 6'. The 1.92GB patch lays the groundwork for the impending release of the End Game DLC for Battlefield 3 Premium members today.

"This Battlefield 3 update contains improvements to the multiplayer portions of the game. We strongly advise you download it," reads the description on Xbox.com.

Battlefield 3: End Game releases today for BF3 Premium subs, while non-Premium members will be able to purchase it for 1200 Microsoft Points on March 26th. It adds new vehicles, new maps and other lovely stuff. You can read all about it here.

ugh. I don't want to do this anymore. I'm sick of BF3 dominating my HDD even though I don't play it much. No other company releases patches of this size, and I can't even comprehend why exactly they need 2 gigs to change the recoil on a few guns and some visual glitches.

End Game is good. As for the patch, meh...

The problem is coming from my lack of space on my HDD. I DL'ed two games recently during the sale and I am lacking in room atm.

yeah it's ridiculous there's that big of a patch,when they didn't even change any weapons in this patch from what I read.

well I can confirm you can delete MP update #4 and MP update #5 , they're not needed once you get the new MP update #6 that came out today. The sticky topic in the bf3 gfaqs forum talks about it some more. He said if you don't care about playing any DLC all you need is the newest MP update #6 and the 200mb title update.

just about it yeah. My total is 20.1gb but I have the disc installed as well as the HD Texture pack

yea if you still have that old rent a server/e-sports update that can be deleted as well
