For the RX8.

I think we have decided on RATED X, but with an 8 in it. How do you think it looks the best and makes the most sense?

R8TED X
R8D X


Some other contenders:
RXFIXE8
RXELER8
PLAYM8 (although my wife is worried she'd have to look hot all the time with this one or be judged)
INTXIC8
RXL8 (My wife likes this because she is always late for everything. I can't stand it though.)

There are a few others, but I can't think of them just now. Which do you like or do you have any other suggestions?

plus X Rated makes more sense than Rated X. i dont think ive ever heard something called Rated X.

On a serious note the thing that makes the RX8 unique is the rotary, i am not sure what kind of work you've done to it? Or is it stock?

If i had to get a plate i'd probably just try to fit rotary into it with some kind of adjective or something.

How many miles do you have on it? I hear rotary engines are nightmares to up keep, any busted seals or oil eating?
but at least you can rev the shit out of it with no worries.

i dont know shit about rotary engines, but getting 220 horsepower out of a 1.3 liter engine is pretty impressive.

It is a little bit but rotarys are different from your regular piston engine, this kind of explains it nicely.

Rotary engines are in theory a much more efficient engine. But like Gil said they are impossible to fix when shit goes wring. Very few mechanics have a working knowledge of how they work and if teh timing gets off just a little bit you can ruin the things pretty easily.

No the engine is stock, 54000 miles and I'll probably keep it that way until something does go wring. If it ever needs serious engine work I'll put a super or turbo charged 20BREW upgrade in it.

There's a rotary racing shop in Puyallup that has built 500hp+ RX8's for about 10k in engine and transmission work.

And they are supposed to eat oil, it's the way they're designed. It should burn 1 quart every 1000 miles. If it's burning less there may be a problem.
