The Norton this computer came with just expired.

What AV do you guys suggest I replace it with? What are the best ones?

Also feel free to post pictures of mostly naked chicks.

MalwareBytes is really good. I had a paid subscription on our last PC... I never even thought to see if that would transfer over to this one. Plus it's Win8 so I wonder if it would even work.

Never heard of Comodo. You guys like it?
I want it to work, be simple to use/understand and not slow the PC down like a hog.

With Norton I can never tell if it is even on or running, let alone how the fuck it works.

Its always been easy to use. Its anti-virus/spyware/rootkit, and firewall. You can set custom policies for traffic in and out of your computer, etc.

Can't say I've ever had a virus since I've started using it. Been about..5 years.

ETA: Norton drives me nuts. I won't touch it...ever.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

Is this MS one you guys talk about already on my computer or is it something I need to buy?

MSE is free. But I usually download it from MS anyways. Don't know if it's standard.

Just look up MSE on one of 'em ol' "search enjins."

Man up and fight the viruses in honorable hand-to-hand combat.

Microsoft Security Essentials, MalwareBytes, that's about all I ever use. My friend Ryan swears by Avast!, but as long as you don't do stupid shit on the internet, you'll probably be fine.

I agree with aldi and pariah MSE +malwarebytes

I used comodo for a few years till I had to get it for this SSD and I fucking HATE HATE HATE the new interface, I even tried downloading an older version online and it wasn't exactly like my old version looked. It never slowed my pc down though. It was pretty annoying clicking allow for every little file I downloaded though. That's the thing you have to know what you're even downloading, anti virus does no good if like most people you just click allow anyways

It can be annoying, but if you take the time to work with it, its fantastic!

AV and firewall as well, amongst other things. Have been using it for four + years. Worth it.
