Hell I don't even like cats, but I love mine.

Im the oinly one she lets hold her, and she recognises the sound of my truck. So she greets me in the middle of the street every time I come home from work or whatever

I'm just going to say that...cats can be left alone for a week and you don't have to worry about them.

Dogs on the other hand...you have to find somewhere to board them or take them with you if you're gone for an extended period of time.

Even though I like dogs...it would be a pita to have one.

Well, I have family who will stop by and check in, but my point in it was that if you leave a cat a whole bowl of food that is suppose to last X amount of time, it probably will.

Dogs on the other hand...leave a weeks worth of food and its gone in a day.

My cat doesnt, he eats it all LMAO... hes feed 3 times a day. Also helps himself to the buiscuits from the box when i'm gone if hes hungry

Ours free feed.

They seem to be able to make a 9lb bag of food last a about a month.

I will say I have had cats and dogs all my life, and I really like both, but dogs are just so much more compassionate and personable than cats are.

I did have a cat who disappeared for 2 months, then we found her living near a pond about 3/4s of a mile away from our house. She was thin and her fur was matted but she was alive. Also, she was THRILLED to come home.

But still that doesn't make cats better by any means as a pet. The only advantage it really has is if you plan on neglecting them. If you wanna compare pets that way why don't we just trap a cat and dog in a pit and have them fight to the death. Whoever wins is clearly the superior choice lol.
