Things i've also noticed.

The non VATs combat is alot of fun! in fo3 i didn't enjoy it very much and only used it if i didn't have enough AP for VATS. Now i rather enjoy not using VATS.

Also sneaking is easier as the dark areas in levels actually hide your character better than before (provided your crouching).

Yeah I figure if a faction hates you then just putting on their costume shouldn't make it all good.

Yeah non-vats combat is pretty cool especially when you can pull off a head shot with it and take someone's head off.

The sneaking seems about the same to me, I just got the perk that lets you see in the dark so sneaking got better since I didn't have the pip-boy light giving me away.

I took the day off yesterday and played all day and it's pretty damn sweet. I've died alot due to hardcore but I think that's great. No more ducking behind a rock, popping stimpacks and coming back 100% instantly. Now every fight is a fight for your life.

I know for a fact that you can still disguise yourself even if they hate you. I went a on killing spree at the NCR Correctional Facility, and after killing a over half of them and becoming vilified, I left and came back with a disguise.

When you are disguised, guards and certain people see through your disguise.

Chinese Stealth Suit = easy mode

Light armor= less noise
Heavy armor= more noise

Sneak skill played a part in it to though so high sneak skill may have negated what you were wearing, it's been a while so I can't remember.

I'll have to experiment with this when I get home. I know enemy dogs and guards can see through the disguise so that may be what happened.

I'm jealous! I want to play the crap out of the game but won't have a free day till monday. I'm currently a level 4 and i'm on the mission to either let the NCR take over Primm or Go find the guy in the NCRCF. A buddy i was playing with stated he let the NCR take over but they tax the population if they do. So i saved and quit last night before deciding who i'm gonna let sheriff the town.

Just by past experiences the harder option always seems to work out better for the people! I'm leaning towards infiltrating the NCRCF and getting that guy out.

You don't have to infiltrate the NCRCF. The guy at the door has you pay 100 caps for entry. If they don't like you, they don't shoot on sight.

I did this yesterday I used someone else for the sheriff that didn't involve any of the above choices.

Goodsprings i'm liked WHICH i'm gonna try going to talk to the cowboy robot/victor again! maybe he'll be able to take over as sheriff? hmmm.

This kinda stuff is why i LOVE these types of games, theres just SOOOOO many decisions to complete things!

These types of games are awesome because you can talk to someone else about the same section of the game and your stories will be totally different.

Also the random stuff you see on the way to different places is pretty damn cool.

I was just roaming yesterday and came across 1 legion guy fighting against 4 NCR guys and he owned them!!

I was able to loot all of their bodies and got some cool weapons and stuff then I died

I honestly haven't died yet. Of course i've been wise about choosing my battles and sneaking when necessary!

My closest "AH FUCK" moment was last night after i left the NCR outpost and the Ranger/NCR meeting place. I was on my way down the road and saw a radscorpion. It looked small until it started getting closer! so i place a mine i had stolen earlier and BOOM it's at 1/2 health so i chase it around a tractor trailer truck! FUUUUUUUU IT"S A TRAP!! wouldn't ya know it there were 2 more giant radscorpions waiting. I immediately holstered my weapon and ran away screaming.

That was the closest to death i've had yet. I got clipped by their pinchers a few times and it brought me to half health. Lucky for me NO stinger strikes!

When you have to deal with the Nightkin, you will die. Right now I'm in Vault 22, and if you don't bring a fire weapon, you're screwed.

I'm not listening! LA LA LAAA i don't wanna hear.

J/K i'll find out for myself! If i get into OH SHIT situations i like to navigate the conflict the best i can. If i die so be it.

I'm playing it on Hard. I didn't get an option to select difficulty and so it's either defaulted on hard or it read my FO3 save file and set it that way for me.

But yeah I've been getting my ass kicked pretty frequently, I've died about 15-10 times so far in about 11 hours which is ok with this game since when you reload you can just run in a different direction and do something else lol.

I've heard mention of Nightkin? but i've not yet encountered them.

My hardest foe so far was either the radscorpions or a gang leader with heavy armor equipped.

Radscorpion fight: I ran away like a bitch!

Gang leader fight: I sledgehammered that bitch to death!

Naw seriously, they are easily the toughest guys out there so far. I won't spoil any details on them, you have to see it to believe it (Get it Higurashi?).
