[PC] Fire Strike Extreme 92nd place

Got 3DMark while its on sale and ran it on my office PC and home PC, along with my iPad.

Office PC was just for lulz, so its ignored. LoL

Turns out, my home PC is 92nd place in world for single card system.



And my iPad is slightly better performing than the one sample that Futuremark was benching.

i have to admit, im with metal on this one...

It is a free app, so why not.

Its always to good to validate whether your machine is operating properly, and its mighty hard to see the details of its operation without having to run test like this.

Got around to doing an "All-Test" for getting results in rest of the benchmarks available. Guess FireStrike Extreme does some Extreme testing when looking at the types of FPS I was getting in these non-extreme tests.

For those that are interested, you can click on the text under the image for the link to the test result. Though, the link might not work as its a combined link, which does not seemed to be available from result list. Its only available from "initial" result opening, and might disappear. If its not working, I'll repost it with individual links.

  I always thought the Corsair liquid cooler H90 was pretty badass...not many 140mm coolers...the H110 dual 140mm is cool too... I have H100i lol

Yeah H100 is the biggest that will fit in my case so I went with that...I may have gone bigger if it would have fit.

The default max temp for 780ti is 82C, but with the boosted core and memory, the card is throttling back a little bit. So, I upped it by 2C and it generally stays at max speed when it needs to without throttling. I might even try over-volting and try to push it further, and raise temp a little more.

I was thinking about getting H100 (maybe i, maybe not) but went with H90 instead, as I just did not know how to mount that thing inside my case without going ugly. H90's 140mm radiator fits PERFECTLY on the back fan in my case, so its nice. But, I recently saw a video on youtube, and now I regret. LoL

Will go with H110 (probably i version will be out by then) if I upgrade my CPU/mobo. And this is if I don't end up moving into 'real' liquid cooling with pumps and stuff. I've been meaning to do for such a long time, but Hong Kong only recently had those components available recently.

I got the corsair when pretty much every other liquid cooler company only had 1 year warranty and details on if they would compensate you if it leaks were sketchy, while corsair has a good rep and a 5 year warranty

Actually, Corsair is my first company that gave me a worrying degree of failure (not the quantity, but a single large quality). PSU from it basically blew up inside my case, which not only almost damaged other components, but also has taken down entire power grid in my place.

Although, they were super cool about warranty stuff, so they just gave me a new one right away, without any sort of fussing.

Your 770 should have its own thermal limits put in place by nVIDIA, along with a limit on the GPU boost that will not push core clock beyond +XXX amount unless you give it direct input (so it becomes Your core +YYY+XXX).

Checking default max temp on your card, its 80C, you probably are not pushing your card to whatever it really should be capable of. You can push it higher up to 95C (just like R9 290s) but I know you are not going to do that.

I have no idea how 770 behaves with thermals, but I am thinking hat the core clock bump you made just does not have much effect on your card. Push it up. See it until either it reaches 80C and throttling back your clock speed, or you see card failing (graphical glitch, crashing, etc).

780 & Titan both run AT 80C all the time, while 780ti runs at 82C default. So unless your card is failing, there is no reason not to push it further.
