If you do go look how much cheaper it is on amazon mp3 and it is actually higher quality.

itunes music is drm free now.StormEye wrote:I don't like buying from itunes simply for the fact that it would lock me into using iPod / iPhone only (though I am currently using iPhone).
I buy my musics from Asian sites that provide such services.
buying a cd costs about 2 to 3 times as much as buying it off of amazon mp3.Wacco wrote:Or you could buy CD's and somewhat-legally download it. I download a few for free/watch em on youtube a lot until I'm convinced a CD is worth buying. Then i buy it. CD's>All.
What? Where are you getting that from? You save probably $2 on average, depending on the CD. I've bought CD's for about $3 including shipping also.T-800 wrote:buying a cd costs about 2 to 3 times as much as buying it off of amazon mp3.Wacco wrote:Or you could buy CD's and somewhat-legally download it. Plus, nothing beats a physical copy. You get lossless quality(my biggest gripe against Amazon/iTunes is that they have no option for this), and you still have it if your computer crashes.
You can always burn an mp3 to a cd or back it up on a mp3 player or back up hard drive.Bla125 wrote:What if you like to have a physical copy?
The only place we have that sells music is walmart and target,Wacco wrote:I love having a physical copy too. Music isn't just some silly entertainment thing for me. I love it with a passion. I support the artists I buy music from, because a lot of them aren't very popular and don't make a ton of money anyway. Also Tom, I have a great Record store here that I like to support because it's an awesome store. They always have good prices, a lot of local music, and a lot of in-store performances. I don't like amazon at all really either. I buy used stuff off of there only, and only occasionally.
You can print the album art...Bla125 wrote:And if you want an original and not a crappy disk that has no pictures? I honestly don't care but my sister is someone who loves having the physical copy, and I know she would absolutely hate to just have a disk with no art on it or anything.

I buy my music and movies but will always go with the cheaper price so I can get more. ( movies are a waste buying digitally and I will buy an actual album if it is a band a really like.)ante87 wrote:T-800 wrote:You can print the album art...Bla125 wrote:And if you want an original and not a crappy disk that has no pictures? You don't care much for authenticity do you? There's something fulfilling about having a shelf full of legit owned media, be it music, movies, or a TV series.
