So... my phone deleted all the music on itself for some reason, so I'm going to put more back on there. I accidentally double transferred music into iTunes twice. Is there a fast way to delete the duplicates rather than deleting each one individually?

Usually boy takes care of all this for me, so I'm super stupid when it comes to iTunes (I HATES IT!)

Helps me!

no not really. You could delete all the music and then transfer all the music back.

I don't think there's a way to do it in the program itself, but I think there are some visual basic macros that do it automatically.

Hold up lemme try to find one.

EDIT: I didn't find the macro I was thinking of but I did find a couple programs

Second one is Mac only I think. Both have good rating on Web of Trust so they are safe.

Yah those look pretty good. Also a good alternative to itunes is zune. You won't be able to use it though if you have a ipod.

Songbird is where it's at if you're using Windows. I believe it still has iPod support, but iTunes is still the most reliable for that since I think Songbird just throws FLAC files and stuff on there anyways even though it can't support them.

Best media players are all on Linux though. My favorite is Rhythmbox.

...I really hate iTunes lol

Thanks guys.

How do you go about removing a whole album?

Yeah, boy got me an iPhone for Christmas, so I'm kinda stuck. I love it for games and what not. But I freaking hate iTunes with a bloody passion. With windows media player I couldn't probably create a freaking weapon of mass destruction me and that thing are so in sync, iTunes... hate.

Tried the Dupe Away.. you have to pay for it. I'm not so lazing I'm gonna buy something to delete duplicates for me.

Aw that's lame that you have to pay for it.

I found that macro thingy I was talking about though!

Just scroll past the first set of instructions to where it says how to delete using VBscript. You basically just have to copy and paste the stuff and then change the folder it says it's using.

How do I sync music only? Man this crap is sooo freaking confusing. >< Maybe I just should have waited for boy to wake up. I thought I could do it by myself... but noooooo.

Make him show you each tedious step in great depth before he has a chance for his eyes to fully open.
