There are intelligence checks that are 8, and I usually have 6 with implant to reach 7.

Now, the thing is, the highest SPECIAL check for other non-macho stat (well, strength is the only one I guess, LoL) was 7.

As soon as I see [Intelligence 7/8] XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, I go like

I know I can use mentats for +2 int, but I can't accept my character not being smart enough to pass all int check. LoL

Anyone have something similar character complex going on like this?

Have you seen the speech choices a low intelligence character has?

In addition to alternative Intelligence checks, low intelligence changes some dialogue options when speaking to vendors and NPCs. For example, when speaking to Miguel at Miguel's Pawn Shop, the option to start trading is "Me Buy Things", and when speaking with Dr. Usanagi at the New Vegas Medical Clinic, after she gives you the initial description about implants you have the dialogue option "So you sell plants?" which will cause her to re-explain the implants and suggest you take the implant to make you smarter. If you take her up on this deal, she will state that she thinks "you could really benefit from it" and offer the implant to you at a discount of 3,000 caps.

I usually use mentats, and that is 9 int, if I need 10 (for whatever reason maybe extra +2 skill for something) I can use partytime mentats.

I don't think there is INT increase garment.

No.

Dick Mason was too Drunk to care and only talked with his Fists.

Dr.Victor Downes is the Smartest Man in the Woooooooooorld! And he would shot them in the back from the shadows.

Skill Books only increase Skills, not Special.
